With the Vista Transformation Pack given in the .doc tutorial, is it possible to switch back to XP in an easy way?

That doc is hopelessly outdated, and yeah VTP does give a uninstall option but after uninstallation it has some bugs... =\

Open "Display Properties"
Go to the "Appearance" tab, then select "Advanced".
Scroll down to "Icon", and set your icon size from 32 to 48px or 64.
Then select "Ok" and then "Ok" again once back at the "Appearance" panel.

why dont you add a link to IconX ([link] )? with this tool you can make your icons any size, add mouseover effects and use spezial icons (ico's or png's)

I don't like IconX, it caused some issues with my desktop icons once.

Sorry missed one (you could read there), the resources are from both Xp TPC and Vista (GUI) (because Tablet API doesnt exist on Xp Pro, so it's still "ported"), also has similar look and functionality as Vista Ultimate/Premium Journal ported to Xp. It's really functional app, not just "front page"...

Hello fediaFedia, How are you? I'm just offering one more app here: could you please also add Windows Journal (as Vista Ultimate/Premium app) ported to Xp (WinMatrix) here:

[link]

I have also asked about it to your post there. I think at least it's also useful to add it to our "from Vista to Xp list" collection together he...he...Hopefully people also like it. In Vista/TPC Windows Journal is like Sticky Notes, but better, like Wordpad vs Notepad. It's functional to me.

Thx alot for ur attention, kind regards.

Always ur loyal fan and friend: Amirz

Instead of using Vista partition (that i worry it has been "locked/polluted" by your "unaccepted" key on Alky), you can follow Ricktendo's way (Credit to him, thx Rick!) , just create a folder that named "sources" folder that contains 2 files: pidgenx.dll, and pkeyconfig.xrm-ms" (Download them : [link] or you can also get them from your Vista media/part) on either of your partition (e.g. D:\ or the full path has become : D:\sources). Then re-install Alky, choose the partition that you placed the sources folder (e.g. D:\) and enter the "valid" key. done.
You could also read about it on my post there...

Hopefully works. Good luck.

Regards, your fan, Amirz

Hmmm, for the Ultimate key i suggest you are using another Ultimate serial (generic...you know), and google is your friend (i hope i can directly tell you here, but it will break the rule as "warez". or can i PM you instead?)

fediaFedia In reply to AMIRSYAHRANI [2008-08-14 17:48:19 +0000 UTC]

Oh sorry i missed one again. Do you know how/where to get Vista Meeting Space on Xp?
(i think i had ever read about ported Meeting Space on Xp on your previous/old beta tutorial (as application that looks like Vista Media Center, but now "expired"???)). Thx alot for your reply and help.

Kind Regards, your fan, Amirz

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fediaFedia In reply to AMIRSYAHRANI [2008-08-14 17:47:29 +0000 UTC]

I made the application non-expiring, because i won't continue working on it. Stuff has changed already and some links are dead. Vista meeting space was a project by patternjake, though it wasn't the original meeting space, just a "front page" of it.

AMIRSYAHRANI In reply to ??? [2008-08-14 17:24:36 +0000 UTC]

Oo I see. Yes, because only Vista non Basic such as Ultimate and Premium that have Tablet PC components/license (inkball, Snipping Tool, Sticky notes) or even Ultimate only (Texas Hold'em-as "Vista Ultimate Extra"), so you have to install Alky with valid Vista serial (i recommend : Ultimate). Dont worry, even you dont have to provide new key, but only "valid/Generic/OEM" one instead, and Google is your friend (E.g. Vista OEM serial is not unique-just info). also Dont forget about other prerequisites. So now are they working on your Xp now?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fediaFedia In reply to AMIRSYAHRANI [2008-08-14 17:34:17 +0000 UTC]

I actually have vista ultimate installed on C:\ (using it now), and i also have a "valid" key for it too, but alky doesn't seem to accept that =\

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

AMIRSYAHRANI In reply to ??? [2008-08-14 16:09:32 +0000 UTC]

Thx for adding them Fedia Fedia. i'm sorry to hear only inkball is working on your Xp. However, most people get them working as well (except 64 bit Xp user, for Texas Hold'em...). perhaps some prerequisites? I hope you could read entire my post there later (updated). Hopefully maybe helpful to solve the problem...I hope so...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fediaFedia In reply to AMIRSYAHRANI [2008-08-14 16:49:39 +0000 UTC]

I think the reason it's not working is that I can't install Alky for Applications with a valid serial number.
