Description
Commission for , who wanted something to illustrate freedom and people living in harmony with animals. That made me think of someone living in a tree house, in a very, very tall tree. And some floating lilies.Yes, there's a bear in the tree house. A brown bear all the way from Kamchatka. He doesn't know how he got there, but alas, he is happy because he got some buttsex from the squirrel on his head.
Also, that black and white critter is my cat, Hugo. He's in the painting because the money from the commission will be used to pay his medical bills.
Watercolors on watercolor paper.
The scanner made the painting lighter and a bit blurry, but I am too tired to edit-wrestle it into looking dashing.
There is a magical cupcake in the painting, cherry flavored with chocolate sprinkles. The first person to find it gets 10

I really like the composition and how you've managed to fit... nearly everything under the sun in/around that tree house.
The colours work together well and I think the shading is fantastic as well. I like how you've managed to capture so much detail with the foliage and everything else there... You make it look so easy with the watercolours.

Aw ain't that cute ^_^ I like how both the lilypads and the mushrooms look like stairs. You could've emphasized the 3D-ness by making the lilypads wrap around the tree (as in, in front of it too).
What's the animal that's alone on a branch, with the big orange eyes? I recognize all species except of it.

They're a bunch of lemurs. Two different species that I mixed together to make them look cooler. I can give you their Latin names if you wish.
