My daughter and I were working with another tutorial on this the other month. Yours is far better, and we will give it another shot. Thanks!

good to hear that
I tried to focus on the theoretical aspects rather than just showing ho to construct a design

i learnt using a book Celtic Knotwork by Iain Bain (ISBN: 9780806986388) it is available from Amoazon for about £4;99 i think.

This was actually very, VERY helpful in understanding how these types of knots are constructed. I was going for a sharper thing, y'know, diamond shapes and sharp edges, and the shape I had in mind is just the multi-strand knot you have here. Once it's shown that the geometry is actually very simple, and the trick is to make it look like it ties into itself, the rest was incredibly fun.
What's more, I was looking for a multi-strand knot, and something to fill the borders in between with, and the 2-3-4 knots you showed work really well too, so that's two-for one. If I figure out how to get the trinity knot done and tied into the frame, then you will officially be my savior.

Sehr schöne und sehr hilfreiche Tutorials. Klasse Arbeit.
Was den Standardknoten mit drei Strängen anbelangt bin ich irgendwann zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass man ihn genauso konstruieren kann wie das Diagramm einer Drei-Phasen-Wechselspannung XD

I've been wanting to try Celtic knots for a while, but had no idea how to do them. Thank you so much for making this!

Can you point to a resource for complete theory for avoiding any logical mistakes in the design? (I think the mathematical theory of knots might be applicable?)

I don't know. Sorry.
I found it out by myself, that this is a save method.
I completely taught knot-drawing to my by myself, just with lots of examples from a (very useful) book and without any theoretical knowledge.

This is really wonderful of you to write up and share; I have been hoping to dedicate a bit of time to learn for manuscript work. Thank you for taking the time to put these together for us. <3
