Examples of my interpretations of different historical knotwork styles. Many people have problems distinguishing them from one another, so here is an attempt to help.
Viking: Mammen; Ringerike and Urnes Style
and the Insular Celtic style
Note, that Mammen and Ringerike style are actually quite similar, and my interpretations are not 100% correct.

Thank you for at least that (and quick reply). It's sometimes hard to grasp the basics when there's no "summary" of sorts, but better than nothing, I guess!
