Also, whilst I'm here, I might as well put this in the scrapbook. Incentive and reminder to actually get the background sketched and roughly painted.It's... pretty large, for me. Obviously, the background isn't done, but the magma man isn't quite finished itself - you can see this at the bottom. Finished, there will be glowing edges there, too, but there aren't.
I'll finish it eventually. I've been sketching and discarding possible backgrounds. Just haven't come up with anything that works, yet.

This is a really good piece of work, matey!
It's actually damn near perfect, the colour gradients are spot-on and they feel natural.
The cracks are well-placed too, just enough and not too many to confuse the eye.
It still screams out for a background. I may sketch one down for you, as an example of what I'm thinking of...

At this rate, it'd probably help quite a bit. I'm not good at coming up with backgrounds that aren't isometric or regular some other way.
