Description
Sorry I've been idling so horribli,my comp was doing on its own(again) and my internet lacks(plus the other days were I forgot to plug in the w lan cable lmao)So here is a little thing I was working on way too long,I thought I should share this with with you.
This is Machai, one of my,undercontruction graphic novel, characters Im very very fond of(now this is it I love all of my characters x3),he's a very old character I've been developing over the years, and still,I cant decide what design Im going to give him.
Machai belongs to a tribe called "Machai de van" where his name comes from (and not from machairodus as you may think, but indeed he assembles the appareance of a big machairodus).
Machai de van are like "warrior" felines split up in 4 categories.
oh and my so wip novel does not tell the story about ancient animals, only about felines who live in a parallel universe on a parallel planet with a different past and future, and human like beings etc etc..
this will go to scraps as most of my work and I'll give you a more detailed introduction of my story late on :]
Machai(c) Me C:

I love his markings. They're unique and slightly retro but also very natural looking, and the honey-toned coat is pelasing to look at. Plus it's always nice to see a big cat that isn't drawn in TLK-style.

thank you! C:
He was not suposed to look literally like a sabretooth tiger, thats why I did his markings like that.
This is not his last design(though the main fur colour will remain the same)
I might change the colours around the eyes thought
All of my characters of my story are suposed to look natural,or a realistic-comic style :]

Wow, he looks awesome! He has a cool and also natural design and I love those face markings and those golden brownish colors you used on Machai. And your story sounds really really interesting! Like all the ideas you told so far and I hope that I will see more pictures of Machai and maybe also from members of that feline tribe, because I think they are so awesome felines!!!
Great work as always, buddy!!!
Me loves that pic to bits XD ^.^

thank you! <3 <3
All my characters included in the graphic novel are suposed to look natural,as I said,Im still developing his colours,I might remain his main fur colour though and his markings.
Aww thanks you actually see my story as interesting,I might do the first page soon thought!
The other members of the machai de van tribe will certainly appear, but not that often,or there will be just a few following Machai there and here xD
Aww there are a bunch of feline tribes in my story since they dont consider themselves as species C: machai de vans are the ones I developed most indeed xD

No problem!
Yeah for a graphic novel it would be better to use natural colored characters instead of totally crazy looking characters XD *looks at most of her characters and faints* *lol*
Yeah, your novel sounds really interesting, so I hope you will start on it soon! *pounce hugs*
XD okies, then yay for all your feline tribes in the story and also yay for cool looking Machai!!! Can't wait to see his full body design some day =^.^=

Oh no, I think that your characters would perfectly fit in a graphic novel!,what I actually meant is that I would do a rather realistic-comic style, than a TLK,my graphic novel does contain characters with an unusual colouring, like Ariah and Shetor,(I was going to put this into a lilttle FAQ) which will have the role of "mytological characters",which can be "summoned" in a way(have to clear this thought, because there are other godlike felines, who mostly wont be mentioned in the plot).
Anyway,it would be totally nice to read a story about your characters, because you always come up with totally awesome designs! :]

Awww, thanks! But most of my characters would be not too good for a graphic novel, because of all those freaking markings and such stuff *rofl* So they would be also hard to describe into a story *lmao* And somehow I also had no idea for a story about my characters
Wheee, I bet your graphic novel will turn out awesome with all those cool characters you metioned, so good luck with it!!! ^.^

You're welcomeCool I like to see different styles of sabres
I draw mine just like a normal tiger and not with shorter back legs like they're usually drawn
