Well, the fans of LOTR must have seen the pictures of the dwarves of the upcoming movie The Hobbit...And what was the surprise to see that some dwarves HAD NO LONG BEARDs!!!!!
It's the end of the world as we know it!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that was bothered by a clean shaven dwarf. A dwarf without a beard is no dwarf at all.

I think they had a variety of beard lengths to make them look unique. Because the dwarves we saw in lord of the rings all kind of looked the same, similar clothes, and super long hair and beards which was fine for lord of the rings but we're supposed to care about these dwarves and know which is which so I think it's okay (maybe even necessary) for some of them to have short beards.

There is a picture of him in Bag End, taken right before they began shooting the Hobbit where he is thin--i don't mean, thinnER, I mean thin. I believe he put on the weight during the shooting because; A. it's crazy stressful, and B. little time for working out and healthy food.
