She probably will be; they just got the rights for G1 back, so perhaps there's a chance all of our favorite ponies from that generation will return...

Can someone explain who this pony is please? I've seen her around a lot, but I know it can't be Pinkie, because, well, she's not pink.

She's originally from the first generation of MLP. Β She was basically the equivalent of Pinkie Pie there.
In Generation 4(the current generation), she was originally supposed to have Pinkie Pie's role. Β Although she didn't get to be a main character, she DOES appear in the show as one of the Wonderbolts.

this was originally supposed to be pinkie pie, and she is still occasionally in the show. This isn't the artists' either, so you can't be granted that permission.
