Oil on canvas, 22x26 inches. never really loved this painting, though i like the picture... just didn't do enough. i htink it's too small for what i wanted it to be. anyway, sort of based on the scenery near ithaca, NY, where i lived for a year. seemed like i was always alone and always driving to get somewhere then.Related content

Makes me think of the aftermath of a long stormy summer night, the kind where theres been multiple tornados around the area. I love the torn curtain hanging in front of the scenery.

summer night definitely. we don't have as many full blown tornadoes as we have severe thunder storms in summer, though. it was always pretty at night near the finger lakes.
