made a lot of progress today on this, posting to show it off. weird, but i like it more as it comes together. the clock, coat and some minor highlighting things are not done yet. this is a commissioned work. oil on canvas 36"tall x 24" wide.Related content

I didn't even notice the little insects on the background when I looked at this last night.. I love the highlights on the watch and how his pinky is sticking out.. very proper hehe.

This looks more together more solid than other paintings you have posted lately. I like the vibrancy of the color and the way you worked consistently all around the painting, like it was meant to be there.

most of the other paintings i have posted recently haven't been this close to complete! i think the majority of my recent posts have been either drawings or WIP- "Works In Progress" i just haven't been getting time to work on things. thanks though.

it does remind me of the "Fabulous Mr. Frog" or whatever that old stroy was with the Adventures of Frog and Toad. i can't remember anymore what the deal was with that story. was it beatrice Potter? it's been so long!

Holy moly this is looking very nice! That frog is really coming off the backdrop. Rarely have I seen an amphibian carry himself so gracefully. That is one proud frog. I look forward to seeing the final version.
