Description
Shut up Lego Faendal. I got you a bitch. Your argument is invalid.Just kidding, this is actually just brotherly teasing between the two. In reality, Rune and Faendal are total BFFs.
And fair is fair, Rune is not a very good alchemist...
After the last cell-shaded comic, I wanted to try some "softer" shading. I think the harsh and straightforward lineart doesn't mix with this style that well, I will probably change that next time.
I forced myself to actually put effort into a proper background. It's far from being the best background in the world, but I think it's a good start
Partly transparent speech bubbles: Yay or Nay? I think it might actually work with certain styles, and makes the picture look less boring.
Many thanks for checking out, enjoy

Thanks for the input! I thought it was a good way to spice up the image, instead of having those white blotches blocking out almost everything. I'm still experimenting a lot though.

But they are so delicious and irresistible. Must pick every last of them.
I have developed a headcanon that my character is obsessed with them for some reason.

Your dovahkiin seems a little like mine. My dovahkiin is also an alchemist. In his early Skyrim days he spent most of his time picking things, mining and trying to hunt animals. He was too poor to buy ingredients, leather or ingots, and his homeless self stayed at Faendal's house to get rest (when Faendal was not using the bed) and store his things. Now, way later on, he picks things from time to time, but now he can also afford to buy a lot of his ingredients. But he still never ever buys potions. He makes almost every potion himself, and only uses a few of the better ones he finds in dungeons. His housecarl's nightstand and dresser in Honeyside (in Riften) are heavily packed with ingredients and potions he made. Why does he use the housecarl's containers? Because they are the closest to the alchemy lab.

that was a great story, I liked it! Is it the Redguard dovahkiin we are talking about? What is his name? does he have a backstory?
Faendal is a good friend to many of us dragonborns i guess, the first person in the harsh land of Skyrim who gives a fuck whether we are alive or get slain. him and my character are like brothers... in every way, as the picture illustrates
When my character was really poor, he was always chopping wood. Then the Jarl told him to clear a bandit cave... where he found a spell tome called Transmute... he never was a poor man again.
I waste a lot of my money on expensive potions... to decorate my house. Potion of Extreme Uselessness In A Pretty Bottle? Must have!

Faendal and Onmund are the best followers, except when Onmund decide that his fists are stronger than a daedric sword. The only thing I don't like about Faendal is that he canΒ΄t commit any crime. Even when you get inside a house at night he starts saying: You shouldn`t be here! And that annoyes me.
I hate Lydia for sneaky characters, she always ruins all. I always have to ask her to wait someplace and if someone is kicking my ass I run back to her. A dragon killed Faendal when he wasn't even my follower, dragons that decide to attack cities and villages.

Sorry to hear your loss! It would be terrible for me to lose Faendal, he's my favourite too - mostly for roleplay reasons. When I started playing Skyrim, videogames like this were sort of new to me; it was kind of amazing that there's someone following me around, coughing, talking, saving my sorry ass from enemies... he was my first friend in the land of Skyrim, so he's kind of special.
Who is Onmund? I don't remember him, chances are that we haven't met yet.
I know what you're talking about; I'm also a sneaky kind of person - Lydia and me are almost completely incompatible. She can be a really good tank though.

Eaglemcfly In reply to felrokker [2012-07-22 07:44:25 +0000 UTC]
That's why I tell her to wait, and if I'm getting killed, just run like a little kid to Lydia, so she take care. She doesn't suck with full daedric armor. Onmund is a really good mage, he cast lightning bolts, and custodies (I'm not english so I don't know if it is written that way) I prefer him than Brelyna or J'zargo, don't know why, I just do, probably because his taunts: "And now you fall to the ground and bleed until you die!" More brutal than the Dark Brotherhood O.o. He only has one problem... He usually, when he runs out of magika, attacks with his fists, even when he has a ebony sword, but he is like chuck norris O.O, when a fight started, and I see Onmund starts punching, I think he is gonna die, but he deals with his enemies and the with mines O.o He even attacked a dragon with fists and survived... But I prefer Faendal, Onmund was with me because my first character, an altmer, was really bad, so Lydia and Faendal died really early.
You can find Onmund in Winterhold, in the mages school, I know, "I'm not magician", me neaither, but I like enchanted things, and the Mages School is like a garden of soul gems, not saying that if you have a mage follower at some moment of your quest, the objects they give you with the missions are really powerful, and the last mission, is a dragon priest dungeon, so you will have to complete it at some time.

one of my favourite followers ever he looks so badass with that hair but sounds like a really sweet person (i'm in love with his voice actor's voice) and he's good at those thing i am also good at (sneaky sneak+archery) so he proved to be extremely useful... saved my sorry ass many times, especially on lower levels!
do you have a fav follower?

I do have a favourite follower - Faendal! Similar to you I just really like his personality and his voice, and his little remarks he makes (e.g."don't like the looks of this!"). I also really like Ghorbash the Ironhand because he's a badass Orc, Cicero because he's really crazy and funny and J'zargo because he's pretty funny too.

I'm pretty sure that this is a thought that crosses the mind of every Dragonborn out there. Regularly.

I'd love to see more of your character, he's just so cute, and I love it when people give their charatcers there own backstories, it makes everything so much more entertaining.
^_^ He should stop by Wulfren's Inn sometime and say hello xD

felrokker In reply to lostgirl19 [2012-03-17 09:05:05 +0000 UTC]
Hearing other people's backstories is one of my favourite things! I wish there existed a place on the internet where everyone would come together to share their character's totally awesome backstory. Like a blog. Hmpf... I could even make this blog!
He will definitely make sure! Where is the Inn again, somewhere around Falkreath aye? I'm pretty positive that Wulfren and Rune are the kind of guys who would get along extremely well!
If I could make mods, I would spend a lot of time modding other people's characters into the game. From a certain point of view, pretty pointless, but still, for me it would be amazing... to occasionally come across characters who were created by good friends, fellow players. Sort of a community experience, maybe?

lostgirl19 In reply to felrokker [2012-03-17 13:54:14 +0000 UTC]
This blog is an amazing idea, I'd join in a split second!
and I'd be doing the same thing if I could mod as well. I wish in Skyrim you could come across friends who were playing at the same time and chill with their characters, then go off and do whatever quest you were doing before.
And yes, Wulfren's Inn is between Falkreath and Whiterun, I'm still looking for a place that would seem like a good place to put it...I wish I could mod, I'd make it in a heartbeat.

felrokker In reply to lostgirl19 [2012-03-20 20:07:03 +0000 UTC]
This gives me an interesting idea. Imagine an inn that is basically a multiplayer area, you could meet other Dovahkiins there. Of course it would have to be limited in some way and I really don't know how that could work, but I think it would be kinda cool... you could chat and perhaps trade items.
I heard that there is an actual multiplayer mod in progress but it will take a long time until it's in a working state. That's really hard work. Perhaps someone could make this inn until that is done, as a temporary solution.
I'm actually not looking forward to an online multiplayer thing rather than something that lets me play together with 1-2 specific people (my friends or siblings)

lostgirl19 In reply to felrokker [2012-03-20 20:15:38 +0000 UTC]
Agreed, I don't like the idea of strangers you don't know coming in, just being able to select only your friends would be awesome. Also instead of one inn, maybe you can meet an any inn or city.
I really, really wish I could make something like that.
π: 0 β©: 1
felrokker In reply to lostgirl19 [2012-03-20 20:30:16 +0000 UTC]
I guess there could be a dropdown menu with all the available players and you could select those that you allow to enter your game, with a certain max limit of some 5-10 people maybe(so that the game doesn't get too crowded). And they could join in, if there were mutual interest.
The more I talk about mods, the more I am motivated to actually learn modding..... I have too many ideas...

lostgirl19 In reply to felrokker [2012-03-21 13:46:33 +0000 UTC]
You should learn to mod, I wish I could, but I know already that I won't do too well, xD I'm good with computer's but, not that good. Otherwise I'd be modding up a storm.

You know what? Next time I'm really bored and have a lot of time(probably not until my thesis is done) I will start learning modding.
Mabe I could teach myself a few things that doesn't require complex programming... I have like, totally zero skills/understanding of that...
