Description
Of course, with all of the other old robots appearing in the comic, Scratch and Grounder had to show up eventually.Scratch, regardless of his complicated appearance, is actually quite easy to draw. The hardest part was probably his head. Grounder is a little harder: it's not always easy to get his drills drawn straight. The hardest part of him, however, can be his eyes; you may've noticed that they don't have circular pupils, like most of the other characters, which makes them difficult to work with at first.
Scratch's reference to Grounder being a clone was information I found from wikipedia. Apparently, the story is that while Robotnik was trying to clone Scratch, Scratch pulled a lever that he thought Robotnik forgot to pull. In reality, however, Robotnik stated that he didn't forget to pull the lever; it just wasn't supposed to be pulled. From this error, Grounder was born; Robotnik later stated that Grounder was a little like Scratch, with a few "modifications" (which sounds more like a cover up for the failure to me
Scratch, Grounder, and Robotnik are all copyrighted by Sega; I also received aid drawing them, and some information, from wikipedia.

Thank you very much! Honestly, I have no idea; the most I know about the duo is who they are and how they laugh.

I've actually never seen the cartoon. ^_^' I only know these robots through Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and their fame. So, is it a good cartoon?

Mmmn, yes, the game was based on the cartoon. . . which was based on the games. Pretty weird, half the characters from the game weren't in the cartoon, the cartoon mainly consisted of Scratch, Grounder, Robotnik, occasionally Coconuts and that was generally it, apart from Sonic, Tails and towns people.
I still think the best episode is either 'Grounder the Genius' or 'Too Tall Tails' you should try to find them online sometime, probably won't like them as much 'cause you don't have the nostalgia, but meh. Professor Von Schlemmer is still the best professor in the history of ever.

Hehe I like the ambiguity of 'chicken bot'. I'm not really sure if I understood the 'my clone' thing? Was he trying to say that Grounder is just as cowardly as him?
Ahh Grounder + Scratch = memories

Thanks! And, yeah, Scratch really did use that as a poor defense.
My newest comic explains everything, though.
