*dismissive wave*Sombra has no random purple eye glow because he's not casting magic. Mephiles isn't worried because he's a higher rung on the power scale than mister shadowking over there XD (part of a god versus a jumped up on magic shadow unicorn, yeah...)
Mephiles is SEGA's, Sombra is Hasbro's.

Sombra is very powerful, actually. And Mephiles may be "part" of a god, but he's the brain of the god, not the brawn. In a straight-up battle, Sombra would kick his ass.

Oh no, I'm not saying Sombra isn't powerful, and yes, Mephiles is the brain of Solaris, but I wouldn't class him as outmatched. Mephiles would use trickery and his time/space manipulating powers, he's not above cheating and dirty tactics, after all, he did shoot Sonic in the back for example. I don't think Sombra could outwit him once Mephiles started to use the aforementioned brain. Unicorn King simply does not seem to be much for thinking a step ahead, sure he can use a situation to his advantage, but in a battle, I think Mephiles would trick him into defeating himself really.

Sombra is not stupid. Actually, Sombra is the only villain on this show who did not cause his own demise with retarded mistakes.
Moon fled from battle rather than take care of her opposition quickly (like she could easily have done), and her traps made the ponies realise the value of friendship. (Though I like to think of this as Luna holding her Nightmare Moon personality back). Discord completely underestimated his opposition and failed to realize they had restored their friendship. Chrysalis' plan, though "clever" at first glance, had several gaping holes, from with a very flawed impersonation to allowing Twilight to find the real Cadence and picking a fight with a being she actually expected to be her superior.
Sombra, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have made any blatantly stupid mistakes and actually planned ahead with those traps in his castle (even though back when he was in power the place would have been full of guards). I don't think he would be so easily tricked.
