Description
Part 2 of my wings tutorials.This is the bare basics, and for dragons and demons and other things that use this wing design, you can tweak the structure of the wing to what you need.
This applies to digital and traditional drawing, just substitute my colours for pencils or whatever tools you use
This is just how I draw it, other people may work differently, but I hope it helps out!

I am less practiced at this wing-type, especially posing I haven't really attemted to draw them folded OR flapping, because I'm scared to. XD;
I prefer the membrane joining the body close to the tail, because, as another artist once pointed out, if it joined at the shoulder, it would be hard to create any lift, and I realized they were right. But that's just my preference.

XD I don't like drawing them closed because I like drawing patterns on them, but wings being open all the time wouldnt be practical lol! Hope this one helps you a bit
Mhmm, I prefer the tail-base connecting membrane too, I just used the shoulder one in my example because it was easier to fit in the column and one that's pretty commonly drawn
