Description This is my final project for Art class this semester. It was done on art-print paper (around 30" wide by 45" high) with charcoal. For reference, I made models of the tetris blocks, and lit them. I found a photo of what towns look like from up high, which I also used roughly for reference. I've wanted to make a picture like this for ages, and I finally got around to it. For this assignment, we first covered the paper with charcoal and then erased from it.

Man that city is so pwnd!

(and before you say so, I already know "tetris attack" is the name of a game...)

Sometimes I feel like that when I play Tetras Attack or Super Tetras 3 and get to the Signa or highest level.

Cool drawing. I know all about the charcoal process my sister has done it for her college art classes. The idea is just sweet nice job.

We were allowed to do whatever really... But we had to start by covering the page with charcoal first. Some people erased a huge chunk, and then drew over it for some areas. I only really did that for the city areas. Besides, if we couldn't put charcoal back on, how could I have "erased" my mistakes haha! Think of it as drawing in reverse.

Is this the one where you had to fill the sheet with charcoal and then erase from it?

It looks great, man! =D

This cracked me up so much. PWNED. I wonder what happens when a Tetris is formed. Look, it's a flash! Duck and cover!!

The work you put into it certainly shows, it came out very nicely indeed!

Also that little city just below the crashing L-block must have collectively shat their pants at that moment.

SUPERFAVORITEMACHINE, ACTIVATE!

That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. It's a bright flash, brighter than anything you've ever seen. But if you duck and you cover, then you'll still end up getting crushed by giant tetris blocks...

I think I should turn this into a movie trailer or something...

I don't think that Washington has that much farm land around it... but... Washington had better watch it's back before there's a full fledged level 9 assault on the entire planet!!
