Just finding something to share because I haven't been active much lately.So uh.. yeah! Background speedpaint thing!
I've avoided backgrounds for so long (even this isn't complex or interesting at all haha)... but recently I've been growing a desire to tackle them. I wanna try maybe doing a few bg speedpaints a week with a variety of settings and moods and see if that brings decent improvement~♪
Anybody know of any good tutorials for backgrounds and perspective? Or have any tips/tricks to offer? : D
Or hell, even if you've seen a really cool photograph of an environment or some sort, share it! It might spark some delicious inspiration.

anyway I feel like this is a really good start to practicing backgrounds. there might not be a lot of detail but the bright patch in the middle and 'layers' of flora convey what you need to.

Aww np yo <33 I speak the truth! I mean, it's so amazing because you did such a wonderful job blending the colors and have the greens fade into light colors. And you have a perfect amount of different shades of greens imo, lots of people try to take different shades of color and blotch it together to make it look like bushes and whatnot and they fail miserably. But this is great! The brush strokes are perfecto

for inspiring backgrounds... i've seen quite a few things like that on tumblr. i was trying to find a tumblr just for scenery photography but got lazy and gave up JGKDGJ but there's inspiring stuff all over dA too~

YEAH I really love interesting photos and stuff so I hoard them on my computer but I'm trying to organize lots of them and find more and fill a folder with delicious background material

ooh i like this, unfortunately i don't know any good background tutorials since i sort of just wing it and do my own thing haha. if i come across any, i'll send some to you on msn. i really love the greens you chose btw ;-;
