Description
ZEUS SMF-80 Seraphim jets patrolling the stratosphere. The Seraphim is a scramjet powered supersonic multi-role aircraft, capable of speeds exceeding mach 4 and operating in extreme altitudes.Really tried to go beyond what I usually do with this piece and I am pretty happy how it came out.
A huge thanks to for teaching me a bit more about texturing.

Could they be able to be modified to be space fighters?

Well it is sci-fi so if I wanted to I could take the design even further, but that is not the intention behind this, they were always meant to be semi-realistic at least.

Pretty cool. I've heard about scramjets from youtube video talks (I don't really know much about it)... its a different idea of propulsion than normal jet engines right? Normal jets take it up to a certain speed&altitude then they shot off while the scram jet engines turn on or something. Pretty cool.

If I thought I could get away with it, I'd ask if it would be okay for me to post this (with a link back here, of course) to my STAR TREK: CITADEL Facebook page as an example of what an Intaran (the planet where the story series takes place on, with a tech base equivalent to somewhere near the end of of the 21st century) XHA (eXtreme High Altitude) air superiority fighter would look like.

Sorry for the late reply. Sure you can link this, though just from a design standpoint, I am sure a Trek design for something like this would look a bit different. But I am glad that you like it and if you want to cite it as an example, go right ahead!

Indeed it is. It started out as a Game Design homework assignment to design a weapon-system.

OMA!!! This is a beasty ass design!!! I LOVE IT!! It would fully represent what a actual high atmosphere space fighter would look like. Hopefully something like this would come into service with the Air Force in the 2050's or 2060's

Awesome job...Looks so real! The lighting job is really good, and the textures. You've increased my want to become a fighter pilot now...

This literally forced me speak out, "Wow!" the moment I saw it. You've definitely earned a place in my favorites! Lovely perspective and color! Impressive detail as well! I imagine that I will be using this piece as a texture/color reference later on
