Well, I managed to finished the prologue of the comic. Whoot! I'm getting somewhere!
I know, it seems a bit . . . cheesy but I went through many other tries for this page and they were a lot worse.
First try on water and a sun.
Oh if anyone knows some good MS Paint background tutorials, please send some to me. ^^ I'd really appreciate that.

Yup, this one was all done on Ms Paint. The other pages were done and colored on Paint but then I shaded them on Photoshop. ^^
