The expressions, throughout the whole thing, is just impeccable. Your pictures are great and full of emotion and you perfectly convey the words that are written. This last page is a tear jerker, and no mistake. I just have a question, please: it seems the original fan fic has been "deleted and purged". Do you know if it was posted elsewhere? And, if it wasn't, how does it end? Pretty please? *shining eyes*

The idea popped into my head that watson was just going to be a figment of his imagination as soon as I read "character death" in the description and read "Self-deception is the worst human sin". Yeeeees.
I was thinking in my head "If that's not what it's about, then, damn, I'm gonna write that."
But it was. And it was beautiful. Well done, to both you and the author.

Read it so many times and I still cry...Don't need the assistance of music or anything else, this by its self is just so...There isn't even a word to describe this.
But I'll settle for unfit words at the moment until a word can be invented to suit this!

She's Watson and I'm Sherlock...and I basically love freaking her out with their "relationship"...when she read this she actually cried...now when ever I pop up behind her and whisper "My dear Watson" she doesn't freak out...she just bursts into tears...

I haven't cried this hard because of someone's art in a long time. Watson is Holmes' only friend, and although he might have been able to live life alone before Watson entered his life, now that they've become friends, he would be extremely lonely if Watson left for whatever reason. It's so hard for him to relate to and like "normal" people and vice versa, but knowing what it's like to have a friend that cares for you and doesn't think you're a freak, how could he go back to the way he lived before without that little bit of human companionship that brightened up his life? I imagine it would have hurt him deeply if Watson had died, especially if it was because of one of his cases, and this is a very likely way that he might have dealt with it. Fantastic artwork and props to the author for the great story. I need to go get tissues now. ;u;

I was so sad years ago when Holmes "died" at the Reichenbach falls, but it was easy to imagine Watson being sad. On the contrary, it is (for me) almost impossible to imagine Holmes being sad about Watson without drifting into OOC. Your version is just perfect. And so much more sad, because it really is what Holmes is like- not recognizing his dear friend isn't by his side anymore, realizing it only when he sees the dead body. Holmes might be great in analyzing others, but he's doing so hard with himself; that's what makes Watson's death so much more painfull.
So, now you got me crying! Content? Damn, this is so great/ touching!!

You were not kidding, this story was extremely sad. Even though I had a feeling of what the ending will reveal, I still got teary eyed. I think Holmes alone, forever without his Watson, is one of the saddest thoughts ever. The whole story was beautifully illustrated, thank you.

I read this comic twice (and bookmarked it!) and the first time I didn't really get that Watson had been dead the entire time. When I read it the second time, I think I was bawling since the beginning.
