True, the lower body is still a bit rough, but I think the rendering around the mouth and his spiky carapace is working quite well. Nice design!

Yeah maybe I'll have to make one some day. The way I learned it was from some online FX magazine from a long time ago. Even from Udon back in the day too as its very similar.
You can see Omar's tutorial. [link] Steps 1, 5 and 8 is what I use. Once everything is done I flatten it and do touch ups wherever needed.
