Description On the outskirts of Slineria, a small convenient store ordered a shipment of organic produce from one of the various surrounding farming provinces. While being transported via truck to to the convenient store--in a dryer part of the country, the front passenger happened to notice a peculiar figure in the reflection of his smart phone screen.

"Boss!" he shouted.

"Wha-what!" Clide--the driver exclaimed.

"There's a big lizard in the back of the truck!"

"Ugh! I thought we were gonna die or something! Don't startle me when I on the road!"

"That reptile's getting into the Glenda's eggs! It's a wild leptolapsus, Boss!"

"Simmer down and stop yelling! You're freaking me out and I'm driving!"

"Oh, and by the way, boss."

"Yeah?"

"You might wanna hit the breaks, you're gonna run into that-"

The vehicle collided into a broadcasting tower--decorated to look like a coconut tree--and that was the end of the truck.

Clide turned to his passenger and said, seething in rage, beat read in the face and said, "Whyyyyy didn't you tell me that sooner?" he pouted pitifully. "You scream because we're losing produce to a lizard, but you're calm and collective when we're in danger?"

Poof! the airbag inflated, squashing him against his seat.

***

Clide and Moose - the truck drivers for the convenient store - exited their respective doors to see some boxes had toppled.

"Oh, that's great..." Clide moaned.

"What do we do about the lepto?" asked Moose.

"We shoot it, of course! Get out Kim and make sure she's got ammo."

"Is that legal? Shooting a wild leptolapsus?" Clide asked, pulling out Kim, their handy M4.

"So long as they're a menace to farming or private property, they're supposed to be fair game...assuming proposition 99 doesn't change that next month!"

They strode over to the back of the truck where they saw the culprit--on whom Clide took aim with the rifle. The leptolapsus was lying on her side, smirking devilishly at them, holding an egg in her long, strong tongue. Clide immediately turned pale when he recognized who it was.

Tryx, Slineria's famous wild animal actress. She apparently had clawed in the exact value of the fee for harming her in the side of one of the boxes: a whopping 17,469,215 dollars and 17 cents! To add insult to injury, she had also gotten a hold of a red marker in the back and had drawn targets over some of her vital spots--except for her tail, which always grew back whenever a leptolapsus lost it.

Tryx swallowed the egg in her tongue and said aloud in lepto, "Hey boys. Oh, and a loaded gun! Are you thinking of shooting little me?" she grinned, waving a finger at them. "You naughty humans."

"Is that...who I think it is?" asked Moose, turning equally pale.

"Go on!" Tryx teased in lepto again. "I dare you. That's right, go for it! Make my day! I'm feeling lucky, punk! I'll be dead...but you'll be broke! Te-he!"

Clide's finger was on the trigger, and he wanted it off, if he ever wanted to see his wallet again. That, and he knew if he shot Tryx, he would go down in Slinerian history as that guy. He successfully managed to do so. Afterward he caught his breath and sat down on the box Tryx had clawed, Moose sitting with him, and the two just stared to Jupiter and beyond inifinty, contemplating what might have been their financial doom, or there being marked with the scurge of infamy.

Tryx spoke up one last time, getting to her feet and moving about the two men. "It's okay. Take your time, you can think about it. It doesn't matter anyway. Even you do shoot me, they can rebuild me with your fee money...only ten times better. Hey! I'd be the bionic lepto woman! Nye-n-n-n-n-n-n! Or, wouldn't it be hilarious if I wasn't actually Tryx but her stunt-double? Te-he! You'd be going crazy, cause my stunt double is a hi-poly 3D computer model. Of course, you can't improve on perfection!......By the way, you have any alcohol-based wipes in the front...I think this is permanent marker."

We have a lot of them here where I live actually. Only they're desguised as pine trees. It's kind of funny, but cool in a way. That's where I got the idea .

Psht... Has she never heard of leash laws? The studio's liable for any damages >3c

Ferroth In reply to TheyCallMeSage [2015-09-23 07:54:35 +0000 UTC]

That is a very interesting point.

I have no doubt the studio is liable and covers the expenses. Tryx is a highlight of their business. And seeing as she's legally worth more than most humans (ironic isn't it), they're probably obliged to cover any damages. The benefits of working with her talent far outweigh her public mischief.

All things considered, this is a more extreme case of Lepto trouble, and isn't very common. I'm sure it earns the studio some gripes and controversy about Tryx, of course. With the fame and fortune Tryx delivers to the studio, though, a little fun in the day of a leptolapsus is trivial.

Good point though. I had never actually thought of that.

Well, I'm sure the studio has a team of lawyers nasty enough that most people wouldn't risk a lawsuit

Yeah, lol.

When its Tryx, they've got nothing on her. Drex on the other hand got into some serious legal trouble in the bit "Murder So Fowl." Which I still need to finish among a whole lot of other things...

She just desires to be shot someday, doesn't she?

Pfft, lol! Sometimes you'd wonder with that girl. Particularly in the movies she likes to star in or the game's she plays with Drex. Though in Psycho she was stabbed, in War Leptolapsus she steps on a mine, and in some other third movie she falls down a deadly waterfall.

At heart its all an acting game. She just has a lot of faith in people and she likes to mess with hunans. She knows no one would dare actually shoot her and she uses that to take advantage.

Also, slineria just has a lot of guns, I guess.

She doesn't plan on ever getting killed, but has a fun backup plan in case she is, of course.

I moved a step foward! I let myself actaully get killed in the roleplays ;D Of course it's out of lore, so Wasder's bio isn't filled with "19.09. He died. 20.09. He died. 21.09 He died".

The Walking Dead moves a step foward. They kill anyone, just leaving one or two people to let the plot continue.

Game of Thrones moves a continent foward, as they kill EVERYONE!

Well, considering Tryx is an animal lizard actress, the vast majority of her life is role play. She talks Drex into it all the time! she's a fan of all acts, but she plays romantic tragic death scenes especially well. She just got a talent for them best I suppose.

I love acting as well, also in real life. About any sort of roleplays, my favourite one is playing a traitor who realizes the mistake he made or he just has to excuse himself to the one he betreyed... But that used to happen in online roleplays only.

Tho once in real life I had to play an old, greedy guy who didn't want to let his son be with his love, in imagined sort of talk show... That all was on the lesson of Polish. Teacher asked me if I wasn't in some acting school by chance XD

Convienence store truck drivers carrying around an M4? Slineria must have pretty lax gun laws...

Ferroth In reply to BioNickD [2015-09-22 19:49:17 +0000 UTC]

Lol! Perhaps it does. (*shrugs*).

Still developing what it's like over there in zany Slineria. I tend to think of a very chill place, like a traditionally thought-out country town where people are really laid back and the laws are very leniently interpreted and enforced just enough to keep and peace and the town is small enough to get by on somewhat on an honor and trust system, complimenting the law of course.

I'd say they're quite lax with each other, except for when it comes to leptolapsi involvement. Depending on who you are there, you love em or you can't stand them.

I do know a running gag is that they keep changing what kind of government body they have, even though the leader figure is always the same guy. It might be a congress and president or parliment one term, a monarchy another, a democratic forum with a chancellor during another term, and according to an older citizen, at one point they tried tribal chieftain as well.
...
This is getting me thinking. Perhaps I'll do a deviation on slineria. Flesh out the setting a bit.

Leptos will find a way to get into things impossibly. It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when. For someone like Tryx, that comes sooner than you'd expect. She's a genius!

Hah!  Tryx is at it again.

Man, I can only imagine the panic she'd cause if one of these farmers took a shot at her and she convinced them she'd been killed.

"What Have I done?!  I gotta hide the evidence...I gotta skip town!"

All the while Tryx is laughing and laughing in her head.

Haha! I know right! And just as he's about to bury the body, she jumps to life and licks the side of his face and scampers off! He'd have a minor heart attack for a few seconds before he realized he'd been "Tryxed!"

Then the relief sets in and he's just done for day. He goes home and crashes in bed...

Oh, man.
