Soooo I tried animating this shot, from my previous storyboard.Unfortanately I got as far as one colored frame before some major slowdowns. Seems my iPad Pro isn’t powerful enough to handle 8k animations. It was in 8k so I could zoom out safely without showing it was made of pixels. Oh well.
But I’d say it at least looks neat, like a screenshot from an animated movie. I like it for what it’s worth.

This looks great! Perhaps shrinking the image size would be better tho. I like a high-quality image, but i doubt most of us have monitors that can display something that huge! (My Laptop is just 1024 x 768 )
And I like the style it looks like you're going for. Painting the static backgrounds and drawing simpler characters over it~

Yep, thats exactly the style Im going for. I love that era of animation, mostly for nostalgic reasons, but you know. It just feels good to work in.
