I can't be the only one thinking: pukwudgies attacking the new characters are somehow alluding to hostile Sonic fan reaction towards anything MLP. It's likely a coincidence on Hasbro's part...or was it?...

Googling and wikipedia on pukwudgies, they're creatures based on Native American mythology in the southern New England territories.
