i don't know if I this is really dot.hack, or hack sign, or hack dusk or whatever. It's too confusing!!!anyway, this was for a fanart contest. I also haven't seen this anime, maybe because I saw hack//sign and hated it..so boring..I want hours of my life back from watching it. I drew these characters only because I like their character design.
Over all I don't really like it..T__T the background believe it or not was a pain because it was done 100% on Open Canvas.

Yah Legend of the Twilight is a lot better than Sign IMO, Sign is too dramatic and confusing. Good work though!

I recently read the manga.... I think it's good. I like the series although there are so many versions: 2 tv, 1 oav, 4 video games, a trading card game, and 1 manga. And that's all that I know

I really like. Reminds me of either .Hack//Legend of the Twilight's Shugo and Rena or the .Hack// games characters, Kite and Black Rose. Yeah there are quite a bit of stuff with the .Hack// universe and such...There's the first anime .Hack//SIGN (6 vol.), followed by the events of the games (4 total), and the four disc series that comes with the games-Liminality, then the events of the manga-Legend of the Twilight Bracelet (aka Dusk--3 vol.)/anime based on the manga-Legend of the Twilight...

Awesome fanart! Shugo (the boy) is supposed to have a red outfit... but hey, orange is close enough.
BTW, if you ever want to give the .hack series a try again, read the .hack//Dusk manga or watch the anime. That one in particular is a lot more upbeat and interesting. No long and boring conversations of stoopidness in that.

.hack//sign was kinda nice in the begginng then turned kinda boring in the middle and near end... so that's the reason why you didn't wtch .hack//legend of the twilight.... which is where these cahracters are from.. i've watched them both and the later one was better than the first one...

This one I have only read the first manga of, and it is more lighthearted and cute. That is why I really like this pic! The characters still retain their cuteness, but there is definatly that magical/digital feel with the background and colors!
