Description
Two observations to start with.

1) There are lots of rock bands that have a colour in their name. Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Green Day. Whitesnake, Greenslade. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blue Öyster Cult. Deep Purple, King Crimson. You get it.

2) There are a lot of rock bands and artists that want to be perceived as dangerous, bad-ass, rebels. Thrashing hotel rooms, doing drugs, more piercings and tattoos than actual skin.

Ergo: A truly evil rock band with a colour name would be a big hit.

Well, look no further – here is the new super-group Evil Green.

Not only does the lead singer have green skin; her personal pyrotechnic light show is awesomely, brilliantly green. Also, all the main members are bona fide super-villains. Together, they are wanted in more than 137 countries for an astonishing number of different crimes.

The back-up vocals are maybe not as criminal, but they still aren’t your average well behaved girl next door. Adrena Lynn may have mostly conned viewers with fake stunts, but she has the attitude. Bonnie Rockwaller got the gig due to a recommendation from Kim Possible, even though her criminal record is fairly short. Still, she can sing and it doesn’t hurt to look at her. Amy Hall, on the other hand, is definitely in the line-up purely on her villainous merits.

Well, what can I say more? Dr. Drakken has some experience from electronic equipment and is actually quite good at the keyboards. Professor Dementor, being a hot tempered little man, is a wiz behind the drums. And who better to play the lead guitar than Motor Ed on his Gibson Les Paul. Monkey Fist does well on the Rickenbacker bass, and, due to his versatile feet, he is also quite good at playing the Taurus bass pedals.

Shego sings divinely, of course, and also does a stint at rhythm guitar or saxophone when needed. Britney? Madonna? Kylie? Puh-lease! No contest!

They’ll make more money than Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd and the Oh Boyz combined.

And if they should need to increase their evilness, they could do the really fiendish thing and invite Duff Killigan to play his bagpipes with them.

So, what are they performing? Well, I dunno. Might be the Bobby Brown hit ‘My Prerogative’. Might be some vintage Alice Cooper, like ‘ Poison’. Or perhaps ‘Demon Eyes’, by Deep Purple? What do you think?

Part of the inspiration for this came from starting to draw pics of Kim and Bonnie playing instruments. Most of it, though, came from finding the DVD's from Pink Floyd’s P*U*L*S*E concert at the Earls Court; and also the videos from the ‘Delicate sound of Thunder’ tour. I still remember seeing the latter show in Stockholm way back, and I don’t think I’ll ever see anything better. Truly awesome! (This was after Roger Waters left, but good riddance, I say. He seems to have turned into a really mean megalomaniac…
