Finished this two weeks ago but I was too lazy to take pictures.
Had some paint left after creating Mass Effect N7 360 Controller , so I decided to put it to good use.
The USB device (Dane-Elec) flashes a red light (can not be seen in the photo). Sixteen GB capacity, currently used for Colin McRae: Dirt2. The Bluetooth device had a lid on which I painted the red/white stripe, but can't find it anymore. It has a blue light. Very useful for stealing memory. Although I am no longer making the Mass Effect N7 360 Controller , I am still willing to transform your boring USB device into a kick-butt Mass Effect N7 USB device , so send me a note if you are interested.

This is COOL. Why isn't this available yet? I love the bluetooth one cuz I never use it, so would always be able to carry it around. Yes, my middle name is crazy.

I have no clue, seeing that Bioware is selling bucketloads of Mass Effect stuff. I did see a Mass Effect USB drive once ([link] ) but perhaps it was a promotional item of some sort. Either way I didn't want to wait until they finally decide to made them, and created my own.

Oh you should totally give it a try! And upload the end result here on dA. I'd love to give my computer an extreme make over, but I'm not really good with big surfaces. Currently working on a classic GameBoy. OvO

I want a set! Do you make them to order for people? Charge the price of the Bluetooth and thumb drive, plus the cost of painting and shipping, and a wee bit extra for shipping insurance, should a customer opt for it.

I guess I could take limited orders on these once work gets less busy, but the sticks are rather expensive, I don't think many people would be interested.
The USB stick in the picture, I bought it to use as a storage device for my 360, but even at 16 GB it cost nearly $37. So unless I can get the USB devices for a very reasonable price, I don't think people would be willing to buy these. I'll try some stores after work.

$37 is actually a reasonable price for a USB with decent storage capacity. My Bluetooth headset for my cell phone cost almost $60. But I get the reluctance to spend 40-plus bucks on something...my dad's IT for AAFES at our local Air Force base, and he can find pretty good deals at the BX. Maybe you could take custom orders for USBs you buy to sell, and some from people who already have USBs but aren't talented enough to do a custom paint job like that (like me).

I must say that the whole painting progress is pretty easy, though. Only the N7 logo is difficult, because it's so small.

Dane-Elec. Never heard of it, but it was one of the extremely few USB sticks that were suitable for painting the N7 logo on it. They come in different sizes.
