I really liked this pose, and really didn't want to change anything that would make it fill the canvas better (ie moving the tail/body at all) so I just decided to run with it, and let it end up smallish. It looks ok next to pets like the spectrum montre or telenine - but it looks hilarious next to the spectrum feli or ruffie xDBOUND BOUND BOUND AND REBOUND

Heehee, I was quite happy that the hooves all came out actually looking like hooves that fit with the legs, and bent right! I used to have such trouble getting the joints right in my pets!

SKELETONS. Skeletons are the way to go! I've been looking at them for weeks, and giving all my subeta pets skeletons, so then I just work from lengths and joints of those!

I already said it in the news, but omg, those dainty, pretty little hooves! <3 I think this is your best Malti yet. Your anatomy for this species is just improving by leaps and bounds. Bigger leaps and bounds than the Spectrum Malti is taking, even! XD
Agggh the whole pet is so pretty. I'm mesmerized by the colors on its underside. *__* The horn looks like a candy I've had before. [link] They're even called Unicorn Lollipops or Unicorn Horns. XD

I definitely prefer it this size. You know though, I think I figured out what I did wrong. I drew the body/head first, with the intent of having a 'bounce' motion. Like lambs do - straight up in the air! But then I drew the rainbow streaming backwards, as if it was jumping from left to right. Which it isn't!
So I think by doing that, I cancelled out the movement, making it look kinda static! I might have to try a version with a different rainbow just for myself to see if it really does make a huge difference xD
I do think I'm improving my anatomy skills with this pet. It's really taught me a lot! I have so much fun with it, too.
OH I'VE HAD THAT CANDY! I usually see it on holiday with the rock xD
