Do you actually have Solar Urticaria?
I kinda did a random search since I do.. and I found your picture.

No, I don't. I found out about it a bit randomly, looking for information on the poem "Porphyria's Lover" that they made us study in school...
I think it's interesting, though. I've never met anyone who suffers from it.

I don't actually have it severely.. I can still actually go outside.. for like a few minutes before I get hives. That and I have a visible light allergy so I even get hives from the light in my room.
I've only had it for about half a year so I'm still getting adjusted to the fact that I'm not supposed to go outside since sunscreen can't help me.
It's not fun in the least.. Your picture covers it very well. That and how she's in dark clothing and it's overall dark.. it covers the feeling well... not being able to go out in the light and being stuck indoors gives an overall bitter feeling and resentment to the people around you who don't have the same problem.
So good job =^.^=

Oh, I'm sorry for you. I didn't realise you could develop the condition - has it been very difficult adapting your life to avoid light?

I didn't know you could develop it either. From what I've researched it's usually discovered in young adult life and it's also more common for women to develop the condition.
The doctors think that I acquired the condition from having had to take Prednisone to many times in my life. You aren't supposed to go into the sun while on it because it can cause you to severely burn.
So they guess me having been on it so much caused my body to make some sort of chemical that now reacts in my skin when the sun hits it.
As for the adjusting.. still trying to do that. It's more difficult when I think about the old time.. reading a book on the deck or something.
It's kicking my butt right now because I don't have a car.. and I can't walk to a job.. so I can't get a job ><;
Either way.. it's a weird condition. Even the facebook group for people with it only has 12 people.

you have lovely drawings in your gallery, this is my second fave one. I love the idea, and it has lovely colours.
The only little thing i can see wrong is that the foot isnt in line with the shadow from the umbrella. Was this intentional, or just a mistake?
Still, great piece of work.

It was intentional. I tried to draw the reflection of sunlight on her boot but I just ended up in making her shoe look a funny shape.
Thank you for your comments and favs, they're muchly appreciated. x)
