Description
Mandelbulb3dAmazing Surf (with julia) + Sphere IFS , thanks to bezo97 for listening to me whine about sphere positioning in chat
I can not believe - you have to move the "ball" by feel - idea, maybe pick position on image would be cool within formula

Beautiful work Love the colours!
I think you might find these tutorials helpful Most of the times I use SphereHMVoid (set Map to 0 if you need a smooth sphere), for which you do not have to change the sign of a coordinate, just the coordinates from the cutting tab. If you don't see the sphere, its scale is either too big or too small.

Do not use it for smileys. You can do a composition of shapes then fractalize it easy if you follow the steps...

First user of the technique was Lenord!
When difs were only spheres and cylinders

Ah you know, almost all the mb3d-gods from the early days have left us mere mortals to ourselves here on DA, only peeking in once in a wile, so we must all learn mostly by ourselves through hard work and trial and error what they knew years ago (I am sure I did! and still do!). So sad. We need a mb3d wiki! :}

Most welcome Once you know how it's done you'll be able to place your sphere just anywhere and it will only take you a minute (it does take Me two minutes because I always forget to disable the cuttings after :} )
