Description
This is the first thing I've worked on/put to paper/Photoshop in over 10 days. And LIKE USUAL, it's crammed onto a page with a bunch of drawings already on it. xD
When he wasn't chasing bad guys with his PSD Ike, Alex used to box and made a pastime out of giving and taking knocks about the head.

I'd say something about that being a little cliche, except that he's a crime-fighting German shepherd mix walking the thin blue line.
In reality, it's all about how the characters establish themselves in my head and are developed from there; I chose his design long before his pastimes.

Ooh, nice. He looks kinda handsome. The markings on his body are really well done.

I love the drawing, you clearly paid great attention to detail in the tattoos. The style that you use is always interesting, especially the faces and ears of your characters.
Also, are those supposed to be more tattoos on the inner part of the left forearm, or is that just a smaller water mark?

It is another tattoo actually. Reads "Die mij bemint, bemint ook mijn hond" which is Dutch for "Love me, love my dog".
And thank-you!

I have to ask. How do you get tattoos like that when you have fur?

Ahahaha this just cracked me up, but how, and is the number of sacrifices determined by the number of tattoos or the size?

Katts, you have the patience of a saint. I cannot imagine what it is like to have people continuously tell me what various things in my images remind them of.
As for the piece itself, there are a couple nicely shaded parts that I really enjoy, such as his arm and fist. The shadows and highlights really add a sense of dimension and definition to his body. However I feel as though the shadows start to get a little ambiguous around his ribcage and we lose that nice, meaty look to the piece. The highlight on his shoulder blade could be reduced a little since the light appears to be coming from the left hand corner at the top. While there would still be some ambient lighting on his back, it should not be nearly so prominent.
Keep drawing!

Thanks so much Dann!
And yeah- I just do what I can to ignore them. It can be annoying at times, but. For the most part, they don't really mean any harm? I don't want to unintentionally chase people away, hahahahahaha.
