Klamath River Whales, 2011Two whales, a mother and her calf, swimming back and forth near the Klamath River Bridge on U.S. 101
These whales have been stranded in the Klamath for over two weeks according to people I talked to, I'm currently looking for more details for those interested...stay tuned.

oh this is just like the Story of Humphrey the humpback. These wales look like humpbacks too; are they?
Humphrey would have died if the people of SF hadn't eventually gotten him back out to sea. I hope these two are okay and make their way back to the open ocean.

These were Grey Whales, similar! I hope the little one made it alright, the Mother sadly didn't make it back to sea, there were ceremonies for her though and I believe research will be done later on so it's not a total loss. Thanks for the comment!
