Description
Another group of tripods scour the landscape for surviving humans to harvestThis time using my 2005 version of the fighting machines, which are pose-able (consists of 2 parts)
I like the design for the 2005 movie out of all of them, but the movie didn't feel much like the book in some way

Gorgeous machines you've created here dude. They look great! Something about how the light is hitting the textures is oddly unique. Are you using some kind of texture mod (I'm not aware of any) or filters?
In terms of the feel of the film, it wasn't trying to explicitly be the book, just adaption of elements and themes into a more contemporary setting, as Wells would have understood. The story needs to speak to the times.
I used to gripe about the films inaccuracy or liberties in the past, but honestly after much reflection and comparisons to the previous Hollywood attempt, it's so much more faithful to the source material. As great as Pal's film is, it's barely like War of the Worlds at all except for some core elements. Funny that, isn't it?
Looking forward to more, keep it up! You've really mastered the art of Spore scene construction.

Thank you so much! And no actually I turned on the -noranbows filter in game and the setting sun light them up nicely, had to make 2 separate parts to get the impression they are looking around (more realistic I guess)
More coming soon, dont worry
I get what you mean, part of the reason I liked this movie so much was because it stood out more, the adaptation of an old book into a modern setting can be tricky
though I hold the book close as it and the older adaptations are what I grew up with.
