• Time and place: Morning, moves around the marketplace but is relatively anchored. Prefers the spot near the river.
• Show: Lulu's ventriloquism show starring Sock & Buskin is a sound-based performance aimed at entertaining the young children who come to the marketplace with their parents. The humour is mostly basic slapstick, although Lulu has a notable knack for throwing her voice and impressions which makes it entertaining enough to draw a modest crowd.
• Impression: Newbie
• Race: Lulu is mixed race. Although mostly human, Lulu is one quarter woollenfolk on her mother's side. Woollenfolk are a race of humanoid people who can be most aptly described as a mix of goats, sheep and llamas which thrive in colder climates. Lulu exhibits some woollenfolk traits (Her hair, horns, odd shaped ears etc.) but her humanity is shown most dominantly.
• Personality: Despite being a ventriloquist Lulu is quite oddly enough, a girl of few words. Whilst she is notably better at speaking to those younger than herself, Lulu always seems to maintain a soft, timid, pacifistic tone as if she is afraid of raising her voice even a little bit. Although this shyness does result in very few conflicts erupting between her and other people, this does mean she can be quite easily pushed around because she quite simply will not stick up for herself. But this does not mean that she does things for others merely out of obligation or being too afraid to say no; Lulu is quite capable of making her own choices, even if those choices do usually involve her helping others at her own expense. Additionally, Lulu does not take criticism well and finds it difficult to separate her art from herself as a person; any critique on it feels like an attack on her as a person, so it usually makes her recoil quite a bit.
This is because through her characters Sock (The blue happy puppet) and Buskin (The red sad puppet) Lulu has found a creative outlet and voice that allows her to communicate with others better. By speaking through the puppets, Lulu finds herself more honest with her feelings and that she can express those emotions with far more ease. It's not uncommon for her to speak solely through the puppets to some people, especially those who are far more outgoing or domineering than herself. As such, they are very much linked with her own identity!
• Likes / Dislikes:
+ Children: Lulu gets along well with younger children and seems to have a knack for making them laugh.
+ Singing: Although not a part of her act, Lulu quite enjoys music. She's a little bit of a singer herself and does like humming to herself, but absolutely adores hearing people who have perfected the art most of all. Whenever a fellow Giggle Gang member is putting on a musical show, she will most definitely be there.
+ Snow/Winter: It reminds her of her childhood, not to mention the fact she is quite well insulated!
- Swimming: Not only is Lulu a bad swimmer, she hates getting her hair wet- it soaks up so much water and makes it hard to move from how heavy it gets!
- Meat: Woollenfolk are vegetarians and cannot digest meat properly. Lulu can technically eat it, but gets quite sick; it's similar to an allergic reaction. Seeing other people eat meat makes her feel a little unwell because it reminds her of a horrible episode where she ate some as a child, unaware of this.
- Competition: For Lulu, life would be most comfortable if she didn't have to compete against others or challenge herself at all. She just wants everything to be as calm and non-competitive as possible and would rather give up than compete against someone else.
• Story:
Lulu knows very little about her family or her heritage; her memories of her parents are hazy, like dreams on the cusp of being forgotten. If she thinks hard enough, she can envision her mother's face; a lot more animal-like than her own, but surrounded by the same fluffy white hair. Her eyes are much like her father's she believes, but the memories are so uncertain now she could never know for sure. After all, she was around four when she was left at an orphanage- her last memory of her parents being her mother's order to stay put once she placed the child on the cold, stone steps. Lulu still remembers the way it felt when she was overcome with confusion as the couple disappeared into the night, never to return. In the morning the owner of the orphanage, a well-meaning but extremely overworked lady, "Nana", found the young girl and took her in.

Lulu's life in the orphanage was never horrible or abusive; Nana followed all the laws regarding the treatment of her children diligently and tried wherever she could to make their lives better. But there was only so much the lady could do; funds were always stretched thin, and it was obvious to everyone that their lives would be vastly improved if they were adopted. Unfortunately, adoption was a far off dream for Lulu; as an obvious mixed-blood child she held with her many risks. Since the little girl could not describe her mother's race, the genetic issues or medical requirements she may have was an unknown factor that scared most if not all of her potential parents off. Not that the girl minded however; she had developed a distrust of most adults and found she quite preferred to take care of the younger children within the orphanage, finding a passion constructing dolls out of dishcloths and rags for them to play with. Even if it came at the cost of her education (Nana was never able to afford a tutor for the children) she wanted to remain in the orphanage, as she aged she continued to create and play with dolls. With experience the quality of her constructions increased and soon Lulu was creating intricate hand puppets to put on shows for them, finding immense joy in cheering up their otherwise melancholic lives.

Nana soon took note of Lulu's talent and allowed her to start busking using it, hoping that it might help her timidness and trust issues a bit. In a way, it has done so- Lulu now speaks with strangers a little more, now able to manage a "Hello". And so, Lulu busked using an act that would soon become "Sock & Buskin", earning small tips and donations that she would give back to the orphanage in hopes of improving the facilities there. Her current goal is to earn enough money to hire a teacher for the children; Lulu only learned the basics and is very aware of the fact her education has been insufficient.
