I don't mind starting this time.

Gemshimmer sighed as she walked back into camp returning from another failed search party for the missing MistClan cats. She looked over to the nursery, and soon found her paws taking her there. In the back of the den she spotted her son, Blackkit whom the leader seem to have forgotten for moons about. Leaving the poor tom in the dust of his siblings. The bengal she-cat was not too pleased with Wolfstar for that, Blackkit was way too old for the nursery and getting too big for it. So, careful not to wake Kestrelpaw and her kits the snow rosette tabby went over. "Blackkit, sweetie would you mind coming outside with me?"she mewed softly.

Upon hearing his mother's voice, Blackkit stirred from where he had been dozing, uncurling his paws from underneath his body and shaking his fur as quietly as possible to rid the bits of moss from his pelt. Knowing that at this point, he was much too big to stretch out his body in his nest like he used to, the dark-furred tom had curled up his body as tightly as he could so that the other kits and their mothers could sleep without being disturbed. He hated the position he was in, but it wouldn't do anyone any good for him to keep the youngest kits awake just so he could be bitter about still having to sleep in the nursery It's not like I'll be here much longer anyway... I hope. Tiptoeing out of the nursery to where Gemshimmer was, he took a moment to stretch his legs, which still ached a bit from being so cramped up. "Of course, Mom." He blinked up at her. Although he couldn't deny that he had some hard feelings about his siblings growing so fast without him, he never once felt any anger toward his mother. "No luck on the search yet?"

"Afraid not, Blackkit. There is still no signs of our missing clanmates, it's like they vanished without a trace."she sighed. Thankfully since it was early most of the clan were out or sleeping. Gemshimmer got a sly glint in her icy blue eyes and smiled at her son at an idea graced her mind. "Blackkit, what I'm about to do is going against Wolfstar's orders but...how would you like to learn to train? you'll have to keep quiet about it though or Wolfstar will chew me out."she whispered into her son's ear. Gemshimer just couldn't take it, her patience with the leader overlooking her son was pissing her off and really driving her patience thin. She was not about to let her son fall behind on training he should have started moons ago. "Well, would you like to, son?"she purred.

Blackkit's ears perked up immediately at his mother's suggestion, his jade-green eyes flashing with eagerness. We're going to train! Being stuck in camp all day bothered Blackkit more than anything else about his current situation, and the prospect of practicing battle moves with mother, a seasoned warrior, made him feel more excited than he had in moons. But part of him felt like it was... wrong to go against Wolfstar like that. If I'm going to be a warrior that Wolfstar needs and trusts, surely she wants me to learn how to fight? There's nothing wrong with training before I'm an official apprentice... I'm way old enough to be one anyway. Grinning, Blackkit nodded vigorously at Gemshimmer, kneading the ground with his claws out. "More than anything!" He flexed his shoulders, chasing away the last of his muscles' aching and standing tall. "Don't worry, Mom. She won't hear a word about it from me. Besides, with all the disappearances, she needs all the fighters she can get anyway. If I know how to fight before I even become an apprentice, I'm only doing Wolfstar a favor."

Gemshimmer nodded in agreement. "The more you know once you are apprenticed, the faster you can help her and Diveshadow."she mewed softly. She flicked her tail for her son to follow, keeping quiet about it. She hustled them out of camp and went for an area she knew would be safe to train.It was more towards neutral grounds, with her selected spot being near the Star Stream. In this heat, Gemshimmer knew some water combat and swimming lessons would be best. You had to be able to swim, it was a key thing in MistClan. "Blackkit, one of the things I'm teaching you how to swim. You got good strong legs, perfect for swimming and jumping. If anybody asks about the swimming, just say I taught you when you were a kit, which is true."she meowed as she sat down on the stream banks. "I may not be as good a fighter as your father, but I'll teach you what I can."

Ooooooh, I do really like Blackhawk. owo I might go with that or Blackfeather, because I was actually considering that one earlier. >w<

As I probably mentioned before his fur color is based off a Red-winged Black Bird, a type of marsh bird infamous for it's red and yellow patches on it's wings and it's song. They are very beautiful to see and I have seen several growing up in person. The females are all brown in order to hide when looking after the eggs.
