Tada! The X-blade from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Made onn commission for
Made of solid wood, it's 75 1/4 inches long and 15 pounds. However, it's still top heavy and hard to hold with one hand. It's more of a collector's item than a con prop.

Thanks! It really wasn't as hard as i thought it would be, but I learned some new things and not to mention got a new lathe tool!
Β The key is wooden indeed and is just sanded very smooth and painted with metallic spray paint. I have a tutorial in the description if you want to see how it was made.

Yeeep. For the yellow and blue i used duplicolor's metal cast spray paint over silver metallic. It acts as a transparent paint so it looks like metallic yellow. Over plain white it looks like flat yellow.

I don't think you'd need too many weapons if he does break into your house.
You can distract him with this one and knock him out with another.

or use the ol' "step in the room only for the bucket full of spiders to fall on your head and make you flail around on the ground trying to get them off for 5 minutes only to find there are some in your clothes later and they infest your room" trick. i bet not even he could defend against that.
