So can you clarify how Zoke is the answer to Makorra being canon please? Like is it suppose to refer to the dynamic of Makorra? How similar the characters are to each other?
Also, clearly Korrasami is a better ship then Zoke. Both women have well developed personalities, interesting talents and hobbies and were able to develop their relationship better. Zoke meanwhile has flat characters with no other interests other then themselves and literally every episode is about them talking about how much they 'love' the other. It's shallow and flat.

Let's see Zoke and Makorra here:
-Both were once part of a love triangle (Anne Maria and Asami has barged into them respectively).
-Both involve a plucky boy getting a special girl.
-Both couples are plot important and skilled main characters.
-Mako and Mike has similar naming with the M and K. Zoey and Korra have interesting hairstyles.
-Both are shippings that seem to look like the main shipping, except Zoke is blatantly obvious.
-Their shipping goes canon for about 2 seasons. (Makorra broke up in Book 2).
And the points you make, I've to agree. Zoke is so bad, that I think Mag x Nickel, the other decision besides Korrasami, you know the robot and pac-man screen, is also better than them, despite not being canon and both are just one-note satellite characters.
