There is something note-worthy about Eclipse. As a villain he is both entertaining to watch and also can be sympathised with when you think about it for just a moment. Just like Shadow he was created to be a living weapon for the Black Aliens and that was everything he ever knew and believed in. He had never spent time on earth, or rather see objectively what he was trying so desperately to destroy, unlike Shadow, who in his spinoff game did get to see things through the aliens perspective, but actively decided that he doesn't want this to happen. However Eclipse got to see the extinction of his race occur before his own eyes, the only people that he ever had as a family were murdered by his own "brother". He even got dragged to safety kicking and screaming and still the situation was to much for him to handle.
Eclipse honestly thinks that he is on the right, he is trying to aveange his lost race. Also when he got his Dark Arms we actually get to see him being a big brother, and it's AMAZING, they are some of the most adorible scenes in the entire comic!! This guy is just so precious I wanna hug him, even if he would try to kill me!!!!!
