Fuck him.
Fuck that stupid Strider, and his stupid shades and his stupid sword and his stupid blonde locks and his stupid face and his STUPID EVERYTHING.
(y/n) was lying on the bed in her bedroom;
well, technically it wasn't hers. But, you know. It was given to her so she already thought of it as her own.
And it didn’t really seem like she was going anywhere soon (oh boy did Murphy had a surprise for her!)
Her mind kept projecting the earlier events in her head, making her sigh louder and louder and sink more into the sheet of the bed hoping it would swallow her whole in the end.
She failed them.
Strider was right, it WAS her fault, and she knew it. Stupid stupid Strider.
A knock on the door startled her and she bolted up.
“wh.. uh come” she said.
Rose walked into the room and sat beside (y/n) examining her.
“Hey (y/n).. I’m sorry about Daves behavior.. he’s usually not like that”
“what’s ‘like that’?”
“Rude and mean… you know”
“oh.”
“Anyway, he’s a really nice a guy and I’m pretty sure he thinks you are cool. He always had a something for cool chicks who can hold a sword.”
(y/n) blushed for some reason.
“Still.. why are YOU apologizing”
“Because I know him, and I know he didn’t mean all those things he said. Well, most of them.
But you know boys, especially boys like Dave who claim to be the ‘coolest and hottest’ thing around - they have to much of an ego to admit they were wrong”.
“okay so what, are you telling me to go apologize to him? make the first move?” (y/n) said sarcastically.
“No (y/n). I just don’t want you to be angry at him. I don’t want you to be angry at each other, especially with a that upcoming huge fight. We can’t afford that”
“Always about the strategy i see.. wait, what ‘huge fight’?”
“Oh. yeah, perhaps I forgot to mention. I can see bits of the future in my crystal ball.
And i’ve seen bad things coming.”
“Riiiiiiight. ok. thanks for that, but it’s ok. I’m not mad at him or anything”
Rose got up and went to the door.
“You’re lying”
“Whatever”.
Rose shot (y/n) a grin before walking out of the room leaving the girl there wondering about what she said.
‘maybe i should go and try fix everything. I mean, it was my fault and he did save me first, I should act as the mature one’ (y/n) thought to herself.
‘yeah i’ll do that’
(y/n) walked out of her and wondered around the hall trying to find Daves room.
she passed a few empty rooms and then, at the end of the long hallway, she saw a door with a drawing of a broken record on it.
‘It’s like the one on his shirt. Talk about being obsessed with weird symbols’ she thought and knocked on the door. a mumble could be heard from inside, unrecognizable because of the loud music playing inside.
(y/n) took that as a permission and entered the room awkwardly, closing the door behind her and leaning against it.
“hey Dave, need to talk”.
The boy didn’t hear her behind his stand of.. what are those turntables?
It took him a few moments to realize someone had entered his room until he looked up.
He turned off the music and frowned.
“You needed anything?”
‘wow uh rude’
“Yeah, I came here to say, It was really stupid of me to just stand there and gawk like an idiot… “
“Yeah it was.”
‘oh come on now.’ (y/n) thought, already regretting the idea.
So much for trying to be the mature one here.
“Do you mind I’m trying to apologize”
“Well you’re not really doing that great of a job”
(y/n) face got red and she could feel the anger in her boiling again.
“OK then ! fine! You know what this was a horrible idea, screw you and your fucking attitude”
She turned around and stormed out, and a hand caught hold of her wrist turning her around, and smashing her against a wall.
Dave looked at her, his deep crimson eyes burning behind his slightly-off shades.
“You don’t know what you’ve done. We already lived under constant danger and now you’ve managed to screw up our plan of ACTUALLY starting turning the tables around.
Now we are fucked up. If the imps could got any kind of information about us- like the fact some girl just appeared ! - who knows what he will plan! what if they find us?? and you think just ‘sorry’ will be enough??” Dave was pushing her harder and her back ached.
“What do you want me to do?? I CAN’T changed what happened so at least I was mature enough to go and apologize and make things right but you had to act like the fucking jerk you are because you want everyone to think you have such balls and so much sass and god can you please fucking move yourself away? or are you planning on somehow putting me in this friggin wall? I can assure you i’m not a fucking ghost I can’t go through.”
Dave stepped back and started walking back to his room.
“Just stay out of my way”
“never intended to stand in it to begin with”.
(y/n) walked the opposite way back to her room.
‘I can’t believe I thought he was cute’ she thought entering her room and walking to the window, where snakesprite was floating, watching her concerned.
She sighed. “”I hope the rest of this day will be calm at least.”
The moment the sentence left her lips, a loud explosion was heard nearby.
“Oh FUCK you Murphy are you kidding me?” she quickly grabbed her sword from near the bed and bolted downstairs where the rest of the kids were rushing as well.

The sight in front of them wasn’t anywhere near “calm”.
Rows after rows of imps and ogres were lined a few meters before the gates of the castle.
dozen were hitting what seemed to be an invisible barrier, sending waves of bluish energy.
“Rose, I don’t think the barrier will hold them off for long now! What will we do??” asked Jade, holding her sniper rifle.
“I think it’s obvious Jade” Rose responded, tightening her grip on her pair of knitting needle wands.
“We fight.”
More and more little warriors joined the force in charge of breaking in, until what seemed to be cracks in the air itself started to appear.
“I hope you all got a chance to rest well, I’ve got a feeling its going to be a tough one. “ said john.
The area was buzzing with energy, and a tall black figure came forward, a spear with a red rhombus diamond at the end.
“Greetings, humans. What a fine afternoon it is. Sadly, it wont last too long for you” He said, his voice smooth.
He raised the spear and inserted the spear in a crack in front of him.
The energy barrier shattered to pieces that fell like broken glass, and the army of black little clown like imps attacked.

They were holding on not too badly.
John smashed imps with his hammer and blew away imps that came too close so they won’t be surrounded, but fighting and using his powers at the same time drained him fast, and it became harder and harder to hold off the large amount of imps.
Jade shot the big ogres making it easier for Rose to tangle them in her magic threads and killing them.
Dave created 2 more alter-selves to help him fight.
(y/n) slayed imps left and right with sword, that was giving off a slight greenish glow.
It seemed to give (y/n) more strength, energy, making her moves fast and accurate.
“(Y/N)!! You’re amazing!” shouted Jade beside her.
“Yeah thanks.. I have no idea what I’m doing actually!”

“Master.” thought DD.
“It seems that those humans are stronger then we thought. They are holding off the force, and soon i’ll be left alone in the middle of this battlefield”
“And the girl?” called the voice of Jack Noir in his mind.
“She’s a strange one, a very strange one. She has incredible skills, and I get the feeling we haven't seen everything yet.”
“We underestimated that bunch of pricks. I am not strong enough in this darn form to fight face-to-face yet. But I have a plan of how to deal with them”
“Wait, what are we going to do? do we…”
“Yes DD. We separate them.”

The imps kept coming, and (y/n) was pretty sure that reinforcements came somewhere between battles, because suddenly the imps.
She was bleeding slightly from a few scratches, and so did her friends.
She already considered them friends.
John couldn’t use his wind powers and was sweating heavily.
One of Daves other selves was no where to be seen (perhaps dead), and the other was bleeding horribly while the actual Dave was fighting fiercely with his sword, a large bruise on his arm and a big scratch on his cheek.
She knew they couldn’t keep fighting forever and soon they will be too tired, and then the advantage would be in the hands of the enemy, and it will be their end.
She couldn’t let that happen.
Her dad made her come into this game for a reason, not only to save her, she was getting pretty sure of that.
She looked around and saw Jade lying on the ground unconscious with Rose in front of her, guarding her body.
Everything was going down pretty fast.
She couldn’t let that happen, She just couldn’t.
And then, on the edge of despair, her sword started glowing bright like a giant lamp of green.
Her mind felt asleep, she was moving automatically.
Her body began buzzing with energy, her sight became focused and sharper than any human eyesight, she moved as fast as wind itself, cutting, striking and stabbing everything in her way, Her eyes went completely white and glowed, and she completely lost herself.
She didn’t even quite know what she was doing until her sword met a metal object with a loud CLING sound.
“Impressive, but I think your Jedi lightsaber lost it’s battery” said DD, and (y/n) went normal.
The energy boost disappeared.
She started feeling her aching muscles and scratches, and her sword became heavier in her hand.
“What was that (y/n)? how did you do that?” asked John.
She couldn’t figure rather he sounded impressed, confused or…
frightened.
“I.. I don’t really know” she said looking forward.
“Oh, so you have a power you don’t know about. Interesting”
A swing of sword and the metal of it met again DD’s spear.
“Oh, how cute. You’re trying to fight me.”
(y/n) tried striking again but DD blocked her attacked and struck forward.
She ducked to avoid the jewel but the diamond was as sharp as knife and cut her shoulder.
She bent and clenched her shoulder and looked at her hand.
It was full of blood, and her shoulder felt as if it was on fire from the inside.
‘This thing must have gotten deep into me’ she thought.
DD stroke again aiming for the girls belly, but she blocked his attack.
“Surprising you can still hold your sword” he said and lowered his spear, holding it next to him.
“And as fun as it sounds to play ‘knights’ with you, there are important matters that should be taken care of. “
(y/n) looked at the side and saw Dave on his knees, head low, sword still in hand.
an imp came close and had a little knife in his hands.
He approached the blonde guy without that one noticing and was about to thrust it into his back.
“NO!” (y/n) shouted and quickly bolted to Dave.
“Please don’t take it personally” DD ignored the little scene in front of him.
(y/n) pulled Dave a split second before the knife cut the air exactly at the point where his heart was just now.
“I hope you enjoy your vacation…on isolated land!” DD clapped his hands.
She felt her and Daves bodies fold.

And then everything went black.
