Description
(y/n) landed hard on the ground on her back, with Dave on top of her.
she didn’t remember actually getting of the feet, but she felt as though she was sucked in a giant black hole that spitted her out.
“Dave, as much as I just love having you on top of me, could you please get the fuck off of me?”
Dave made a face blushing red and rolled off landing next to the girl.
“Of ALL people I had to land here with you!” he spitted out the words.
“Well guess what pretty boy you landed here with ME because I saved your sorry little ass.
A thank you would be much appreciated”.
Dave got up and stood there, his hands in fists.
But then he took a deep breath and gave (y/n) a hand helping her stand up.
he sighed, “Thanks.”
“You’re welcome” she said gently.
“So, any idea where the hell are we?”
“I swear I’m as confused as you are. I’ve never seen this land before.”
They were standing in a clearing, where a swamp with beautiful glowing lilies and other plants (y/n) did not recognize was alive with animal croaking .
The sun had set already and the sky became dark with millions of little stars dotting it like diamonds.
“It’s amazing here!” she said and ran over to the main lake.
She could see a few colorful frogs jumping and swimming in the water.
She looked down and gazed in awe; Little whale-looking fish swam, their back glowing silver in the light of the moon, with purple stripes on their sides.
Golden fish swam nearby, glistening with bright colors of pure gold and fire red.
“I’ve never seen such fish! I mean I did see golden fish on earth but they were boring and their colors faded. These are just gorgeous!”
Dave looked at her curiously.
It’s like the girl had totally forgotten that they were mad at each other. Yet he couldn’t help but smile at her strange childish behavior and curiosity.
She sat down by the shore and looked at him . “Seriously you’re just gonna stand there? I bet you’ve never seen a place as beautiful as this in your life either! “
Dave got down and sat next to her, hugging his knees and looked at the soft reflection of the moonlight and then layed back and looked at the night sky.
“You can’t see shit in Texas at night, not more than the regular shitty city skies. But I bet that even in the darkest most isolated place on earth you can see so many galaxies and planets”
(y/n) looked up at stared. “Well mostly because we don’t even have so many galaxies and planets near us that we could see. All of them are too many light years away.”
She yawned and laid back. “Don’t get too relaxed Strider, remember, we’re still in great danger especially since we are alone here. And tomorrow we need to start searching for a way out.. or at least a way back to the land with the palace. I bet the others will do the same, since I bet we could just jump between lands and just hope to stumble across one in which one of the others had landed.”
“Yeah, but for now we need to get some sweet ass rest. Plus you’re still bleeding.”
“It’ll heal in time..”
“Yeah , wounds heal pretty fast here, but you still want that bandaged. I’m not sure you’ll heal if you’re infected.”
“Okay, and where do I get bandages?”
Dave smirked and got out his Sylladex. He looked at it for a few seconds and then made a satisfied “hm!” and retrieved a first aid kit.
“I never learned how to use that shit.” (y/n) said as Dave took a bandage from the little white box, as well as a little cotton piece and a little bottle of rubbing alcohol.
He poured some on the cotton and placed it on (y/n)s wound tapping lightly.
The girl hissed as she felt her shoulder burning.
“Jee you manage to raise your sword but wince at the little touch of alcohol? Or am I just too hot to handle?” he smirked.
“Shut up, and I thought you we’re still playing the ‘pissed off no matter what’ role”
“I am still pissed off. But it’s not going to help us get out of here so -”
“Yeah, just do your thing already” (y/n) cut him off. Dave finished his work in her wound in silence.
“There” he said.
“Thanks, I hope it’ll heal. I can’t fight with and injury.. not for long”
“Just go to sleep and hope it will heal”
“Aye aye captain” (y/n) said and laid on her side with her back to him.
He watched her drift to sleep and laid down as well on his back closing his eyes.

(y/n) woke up to the smell of fish being cooked.
She got up rubbing her eyes. Her muscles ached from sleeping on the ground and she felt her hair being messier than ever.
“Good morning, you look like a broom.” Dave greeted from behind a little bon fire, holding two sticks with fish impaled on them.
‘Great, back to being a complete asshole’ she thought.
“when did you-”
“You were sleeping so I went and caught two fish. And making a fire takes five seconds if you have mad skills and a few branches.”
‘Oh he’s so full of himself now’ (y/n) thought.
They sat by the fire and ate, the sun still low in the sky and the cool morning breeze made them feel glad that fire is a hot thing, and not only bright.
When they finished the meal (y/n) got up and stretched. “We need to get going”
she said.
“Where”
“I… don’t know actually” the frustration was getting to her.
Only now have (y/n) fully realized she had been stuck (with Dave) on a land he has never seen, with no idea where to go or what to even look for.
“Ok so… you’ve said you haven't seen this land, right? that means you did see other lands and moved between them, right?”
“Well.. yeah”
“Then you know how to move between lands! soo tell me how”
“Well, there’s a gate. It’s placed somewhere high in the sky.. SHIT I’m such an idiot why havn’t I thought of this? we need to find the gates!”
Dave sprinted off and (y/n) followed him. They found themselves on the edge of a huge forest, with no visible end.
“Ugh why did you just sprinted off like that! what if the gates are the opposite way.”
“Because I think I saw a mountain there, and the gates must be above it because they are always above high places.”
“Greaaat. Ok, what now. these woods seem endless”
“Well we’ll have to find out way in it.”

(y/n) always imagined that a nice walk through a park would be a great idea for a date.
The silence, the beautiful trees, just walking down some path calmly without a care in the world.
This was FAR from what she imagined.
I mean, the trees were beautiful, but scary and high, rising upwards endlessly, their leaves so crowded barely any sun ray could pass through, and the forest looked threatening.
And she wasn’t walking with a cute guy, she was walking with Dave.
He was attractive, she couldn’t deny it, with his almost white hair that almost always looked so perfect and soft.. and his pale skin that looked so smooth, and skinny yet fit form…
But he was a complete and utter douchebag.
And the path wasn’t a nice one for jogging. In fact, there was no path at all. They stumbled their way through the bushes and tall grass heading to what seemed to be “forward”.
“I just hope there aren’t any wild pokemons or some shit that can jump out. I really hate this place already.” (y/n) said, pissed off.
“We’ve been walking for eternity now!”
“shit (y/n), we’ve been walking for like 20 minutes. that’s all”
“Shut up Strider”. She was angry, the bushes scratched her legs, and the humidity made the air hot and heavy, as if though they were walking in jelly.
(y/n) gave up and just kept walking without really hoping to find anything, or get anywhere, when suddenly Daves snapped his hand extending it in front of her, stopping her in her tracks.
“Did you hear it?” He whispered.
“Hear what”
“I..I’m not sure. I think i’ve heard something.”
“Who can be walking in those woods - besides us, of course - “ (y/n) was cut off by a rustle of leaves nearby.
“oh-kay now I've heard something too” she said quietly.
They stood in silence for minutes, not daring to move.
But the woods remained dead silent and there was no sound except the two teens breathing.
“ok I think it’s safe to go now-”
“RRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!”
An awfully big ogre came out from behind a giant tree on their left.
“Holy shit what is this he doesn’t look like the ones we were fighting against!” (y/n) yelled above the creatures roar.
He was at least 6 meters high, with glowing red eyes.
He wasn’t wearing colorful fragments of clownish clothing; No, this one had just a giant rhomb burnt into its skin in the middle of his torso. He had 4 arms, and not two, with huge claws at the end of it’s fingers.
“It’s like an ogre on steroids after a good shower in a radioactive chemical” (y/n) said pulling out her sword, but winched at the pain in her shoulder.
‘Shit, it’s not completely healed’ she thought.
“You sure have rich imagination. Especially if you are also planning on actually fighting against this thing”
“Oh really why, you have some other brilliant idea?”
“Yeah, run.”

It seemed like a good idea at the beginning, but it turned out to be a bad one. A really really bad one. The ogre never stopped chasing them, and they only grew tired.
they ran and ran, zigzagging between trees and bushes trying to get the giant to lose their tracks, but he moved quickly and carefully for a thing almost as high as the trees themselves.
They arrived at the clearing again, and looked back.
“It’s coming, there’s no choice, we have to fight him” (y/n) said.
“ Yeah. yeah you’re right … but look at it. It’s so fucking huge it’s like a transformer! without the whole “being a car” thing”
“Well means we will have to do our best.”
The ogre came closer and closer. (y/n) and Dave pulled out their swords getting into battle stance. “I’ve got an idea. why don’t you use your psychic abilities like yesterday.
Do the whole green glowing thing, it’ll give us a chance”
‘psychic?’ (y/n) thought. ‘Is he for real?’ his words kind of hurt her, and made her angry again.
“At least I did something, and didn’t hide behind a duplication of mine like a shitty coward! oh and do I need to remind you I saved your life again??” she snapped. Maybe she was going a little bit hard on him, but she had a pretty short temper when it came to people acting like jerks towards her. And what was with Dave anyway? was he really that mad at her all the fucking time just because of what happened with the imps? or was there something else?
“me? a coward? at least I can use a sword and don’t need special effects for that!”
“Yeah?? and who said I’m pretty good with a sword on the day we met huh? or was that an alternate self as well?”
They were occupied with their argument until a giant hand hit them both sending them flying a few meters. Dave’s back hit a rock while (y/n) fell to the lake. She was already tired from the long run, and the hit hurt her. Her shoulder burned, and she just felt like drowning.
‘no. come on (y/n) you’re not that pathetic as to drown the next day you've been here.
This jack is a fucking cunt and you won’t give him the satisfaction of killing you.
Not before you even met the guy. With last resort of energy she kicked the water and swam up, fighting to move away the seaweeds out of her face and little curious whale fishes that swam to examine the new object in their underwater territory.
She came up and collapsed on the shore gasping for air, breathing heavily and spitting out seaweed. She turned her head and saw Dave unconscious next to the rock he had hit.
“Oh come on.. am I supposed to save him all the time?” (y/n) wondered out loud lifting herself up and facing the ogre. He’s attention that was given to the unconscious blonde turned to her.
“ARRRRR” he growled, as if saying “so you want to die first?”
“Come on, let’s see if you are really as bad as you look big guy!” (y/n) yelled, tightening her grip on the … shit. Her sword. She looked around and saw it laying on the ground.. right behind the ogre. “Oh are you shitting me right now?” She wondered how she could get her sword without being stepped on, or caught.
She needed distraction.
She looked around and walked on the shore searching for something to throw and almost fell when she tripped on something and fell face down. She looked down and saw a...frog?
A big, greenish with a rock solid back frog. “Jesus you are one ugly creature” (y/n) said.
The frog croaked in protest angrily. “Oh wait a minute!” she picked up the frog who was heavier than anticipated and stretched her arm back. Then she snapped it forward throwing the poor thing on the ogres face, who caught it right before it hit his eyes.
“GOD DAMN IT” (y/n) yelled frustrated… and then the idea hit her.
She sprinted over to where Dave was still unconscious (‘boy he must’ve hit that rock hard’ she thought) -What a weird deja-vu - and searched the pockets of his black jeans until she found the thing she was looking for. She looked through the captchalogged things in Dave’s Sylladex until her eyes rested on the written text saying “Dagger”. She chose it and the knife like weapon shot out from the car landing in between the ogres eyes. Roaring loudly the beast buried his face in his hands and (y/n) took the opportunity to duck between his legs flipping forward and running to her sword. Picking it up she ran back and stabbed the beasts feet. He started jumping up and down, and his eyes were fierce. He shot her a glare clearly saying “You are dead girl.”
She was ready to get in battle stance when the ogre suddenly stiffened, stood there frozen, and the fell forward on it’s face. A number of large arrows were sticking out of his back.
(y/n) looked up confused and saw Dave, still a bit dizzy holding up a crossbow.
(y/n) lowered her sword and walked up to him. Dave lowered the crossbow along with his gaze, staring down with a frown and … was that a blush?
He captchalogged back the crossbow and clenched his fists.
“Well good morning sleeping beauty” (y/n) said jokingly.
“Well sorry I did not land in a softy soft pond!” He snapped.
(y/n)s smile fell, and anger took upon her face features.
“Oh really know? I almost DROWNED and I had to keep that thing away from your sorry ass that whole time! what is even the matter with you? why are you yelling at me all the time, every time something happens like it’s my fault? what did I even DO TO YOU?” she yelled, tears peaking at the corners of her eyes.
Daves face was red but he did not answer.
“look, it’s - “
“No you know what” she cut him off, “I don’t care anymore. I tried my best to be cool with you but you can’t just calm the hell down! like sometimes you’re suddenly nice but most of the time you’re busy pissing me the hell off! you know what I’m done. we’re gonna search the gate separately! “ her voice broke at the end, but she didn’t care. She was too damn done with Daves shit. (y/n) started running back to the woods, her sword in hand and her guard up.
She did not stop, even when she heard Dave call her name once.
She did not stop until she was tired, and crying, feeling lost than ever.
She felt unconsciousness getting her. She took a quick look around;
There was a light stream of water below her feet, silver line of water spiraling across the high trees. The grass was green and bright.
she fell to her knees taking in the beauty of the place - and then fell when her world faded to black.
When she opened her eyes she probably would have screamed if she wasn't well, herself.
Because screaming is for little princess who can’t protect themselves; And (y/n) is a warrior.
Her eyes were met with a pair of big beautiful ones that certainly didn’t belong to anyone she had known.
