I tried with a bad camera and the room I was in was red so it tinted everything red making it grainy, but I'm going to reshoot tomorrow and I'll send you results soon.
Here's my first attempt

for some reason, i still don't understand how you did it. wouldn't the glasses all be at different levels...not including the water?

ooh cool you use it as wallpapers, yes, the glasses are on different leves, so you turn the cam about 30 degress or so so it looks like they are not.

I see only one light in this set up, though how many were used?

Finvara In reply to aperfectnightmare [2006-03-11 13:32:35 +0000 UTC]
i used one light, the one you can see, and one is behind the paper to the left, and i used the flash of my cam. they are just normal desktop lamps.

You ended up with a very cool result, but I don't get at all how you did it...maybe it's just me, but the explanation doesn't make sense to me...sorry...I can be quite slow sometimes...

Finvara In reply to FrozenBleedingStake [2006-03-11 13:35:00 +0000 UTC]
it is not easy to explain in english...let me try. see i put the glasses on a stick and at the one end of the stick i put something under it, so it is diagonal. and when taking the photo i turned the camera so it looks like the glasses stand on the table but in real they were diagonal. uhem...i know this must sound strange but i dont find the right words to describe it...
