I've started to develop this philosophy that you should only use colour if it's particularly effective in a picture. If it's not actually making the picture better you shouldn't have them cause it's just a distraction from the power of the simplicity of a b n w pic you know?

You have a very unique talent. It feels like you are writing the book rather than mimicing the ideas of others! I like that! It is hard to be unique when there are so many incredible talents out there...you are accomplishing that! I need to see more of what you do (I have lots left to learn!)

Wow.. that's probably the biggest compliment I've ever had. I'm very chuffed you're liking my style. My friend came round today with a photography book he'd just bought from Amazon, it's by Gregory Crewdson, and for once I've found someone I actually want to ..mm.. not copy, or even emulate (even that word scares me) but just be inspired by him, cause I love what a ridiculous amount of time and thought go into each of his pictures, where as mine are pretty on the spot, which is fine, but I want to try some more ambitious stuff now, that's why I'm organising with a couple of friends (namely ~PoodlePics and ~amore-e-dolore and ~mr-russ ) to go off on a photography mission to Cornwall and play with cameras together.
