That's one of the big dangers of Synchronisation, it can and if abused will affect the player outside the drome.
Sometimes in subtle ways, like if Kaz fought againstΒ Takinom while Synchronised as Choar he'd spend the rest of the day feeling bitter and betrayed. Though sometimes their bad to the point where they believe their the creature outside the drome trapped in a human body

What if it also effected players on Earth?

Generally, the Codemasters don't let that happen. However, in theory, a player could suffer from something akin to split personality disorder.
However, the worst that has happened so far is that the Codemasters have had to delete players code so they couldn't return to Earth and give themselves a serious mental illness.
