Description It's a day early but Happy Halloween! Watch your back! ...

A little teamup with my brother for characters, after that I painted this in a bit of a Disney-esc textural style I picked up from ChrisOatley

Creepy, disturbing, yet really awesome! Expecially with that angel in the middle, it is the first thing you see, yet neither the principal, nor on par with the rest: a striking contrast with the shadows of the rest!

Very nice, quite a dark haunting image!

Crono trigger is one of those games I would love to play.

For

Well, Chrono Trigger is said to be one of the greatest RPG games of all time (no pun intended), so of course there's fan art and such everywhere online.  But this scene, since it was apparently made in light of Halloween, easily gets me thinking of that "Thriller" song performed by the late Michael Jackson.  The song and the music video both fit Halloween, as it seems that this fan art was intended to.  Now I'll try to figure out what's going on in the image.  It's actually kind of creepy how that shadow on the left is meant to resemble a woman given her body shape and hair style.  It can almost make one think "Oh, I hope that's not Marle..."  And while I get that their shadowy spirits, the lower halves of their bodies remind me more that they might be part snake, although given the title of this deviation, maybe that was intended too.  It's one thing to have Crono and Lucca seemingly unaware of the shadows behind them ready to strike at any moment, but I honestly cannot tell what it is that Lucca is holding in her right hand.  The setting is also creepy, the idea of having possibly evil spirits haunting a cathedral of all places.  I guess it can pave the way for that "Manoria Cathedral" track from the Chrono Trigger soundtrack to be envisioned, but the shadowy figures almost ruin the point of playing that track.

I never played Chrono Trigger myself, but my brother mastered the game, both the original SNES on an emulator and the DS remake that I bought for him.  So overall?  Great work!  The setting is eerie, the drawings are detailed enough, given the intended style, and of course, it's telling a story.

You might recategorize as macabre. It is!

too cartoony in my eyes, at one time I was sketching up Frog cutting one of the lamias, now that would be a lot more macabre.

The idea here is what really catches my attention.  It's so interesting -- and, to boot, lovely artwork as well!  Nice shading, steady line-work; though, minding, it may deal with a bit of cleaning-up in the future.  For now, it seems a bit rough.  Not unsteady, but certainly, at some points, ventures outside (or inside) the outline a bit much.  Overall, I really like it.  ^^
