Description
Triple Tech time! + +A group effort by my brother Nate Horsfall, a great inker Will Egli and myself.
LightningArts did the base sketch of pencils and layout, then I did a cleanup pass on the pencils. It was passed to Will SurfTiki and he did a sweet traditional inking job and used real watercolors. After that I did some major color adjustments to push the mood and the drama.Β To keep Will's traditional waters preserved I only used the most basic editing and almost zero paint overs, all of the cool texture in the sky is from some adjustments to bring out the watercolors texture that traditional gives you. That's the power of digital, when you don't have to redo everything from scratch! I'm a color person, so how much can colors make a difference? A lot in my opinion!
See it in stages!

One of my favorite boss battles! The red lighting really draws the attention to the red star falling - a nice touch.

Thanks! This is indeed a pretty epic fight, battling the tyrano right before lavos drops is some big suspense!
The majority of the praise for this shot goes to my bro, LightningArts . I just helped out on the linework, colors and making SurfTiki watercolor texture sing.

I was super thrilled to work with Will on this one. It's extremely rare to get a professional inking my images
Kurt's color adjustment was a great relief because he didn't even ask me about doing it, he just knew I was talking about it and surprised me with it one day. "Oh good! Now thats done!"

Absolutely dude! Glad you approve of the edits, we wouldn't have the awesome textures if you didn't do it traditionally first. I'm sure we'll work together again sometime.
