Hello, it's been a while. Been busy, but finally finished something of my own.This was started months ago, but I've had a bunch of other work to do so it's been on the backburner.
But now here it is. Maybe I'll come back to it and tidy it up a bit. But I don't want to overwork into it, especially as I have more stuff to finish and start.
So I'm happy with it as is
Original is Water-based ink, water-soluble pencils and bombay ink on A3(ish) watercolour paper.
Photo-ref was used. Will look for source.

The atmosphere is great, we can really feel the humidity of the forest...
I actually prefer the flowers on the front than the frog ^^ They seem to be detached from the whole picture.

What do you do with your the picture for do not kill the colors when you scanned it?

Actually I usually feel like the colours are pretty rubbish compared to the real piece. This one wasn't so bad, as it doesn't have much red in it, which is a particularly bad colour to pick up digitally.
I find that if you lower the brightness when you scan the image in, and turn off any automatic tone correction settings, then you're less likely to wash the colours out and lose details. You can readjust the tones and colours afterwards in a photo-editing software, which gives you greater control over final results.
