Indecisive about whether to work into this some more or not. But I wanted to post something this month and I'll be busy for the rest of the week.It was really fun to work on though. I learnt a lot about colouring entirely with pencils... mainly how easily they smudge

Your usage of warm and cool colors together are absolutely beautiful. You did an amazing job with the textures as well.
Yeah, colored pencils do smudge quite a bit when using them, you'll get used to it though, I suggest using a piece of paper to rest your hand on so you don't end up smearing your art.

The background is so pretty with its almost ombre effect. I was especially attracted, however, to the detail in the Phoenix's wings. Overall, this is phenomenal and beautiful.

This is a great picture. The birds are beautiful and the colors are very well done. Especially the shading in the feathers are very good!
I also like how you colored the backround. It looks like wind waves. Furthermore, contrast of the yellow, red phoenix to the purple/violet background and the blue bird to the orange are very well chosen. The orange tail has a very good contrast in the purple background.
