This is part of that drawing challenge im doing with my friends. This is the first time I paint anything without lineart! I had never been able to do that so I challenged myself and I realized that it was very liberating.Related content

I really love your comments! Yes I always start with a super sketchy drawing on a layer and then when I'm satisfied with that I draw it more cleanly on another layer if I want the final drawing to have clean lines. Or if I want it to be more painterly like this one I just start applying colors on another layer on top of it.

Ooh, that's nice! I really dig the painterly style, the graphic touch is really pretty and eye-catching. :3
I've usually worked by sketching -> cleaning line art -> applying colours underneath. At the moment I've changed that because I'm making a comic without ink (inking is sooo slow). Doing "lineless" art for a change is so refreshing. ^^
