A plush of 's OC pony, Sugarcube!I used a new pattern for her that has longer, more slender legs in proportion to the body. I very much like it, and the pattern will now be available for other commissioned ponies as well (I like my other one too, so people can now have a choice! Woo, choices!)
I may upload better pictures some other time...

Ohhh very nice! May I ask how you went about for the multiple colors? Did you sew one color on top of the base color fabric, or actually sew two colors together along that seam?

I appliqued one color over the other. I've tried both techniques, but I find this one gives a smoother overall result.

Thanks! I do try to learn from each plush and make the next one better - I don't adhere to my pattern religiously just because it's there on paper. I'm constantly making little tweaks and learning new things. Your superior understanding of pattern making definitely shows, though

Oh I do that too, I'm never satisfied and always change /something/ with each pony. That's the best way to be imo

I'm only 22, and I sew as a (serious) hobby - I've been sewing for maybe 6 years. You've probably had a lot more experience - I find that no matter how much I read about sewing, there's no substitute for lots of practice!

Wow, that's great then! lol probably, I've actually been making stuffed animals before I could even sew (i hot glued them together), and been sewing lots for about 17 years. You got that right, hands on experience, lots of failures and a little success is the best way to learn and improve
