Yesum, It is white clay painted with acrylic.

Neat! That's a very cool idea for a vase--very dynamic. It reminds me of a teapot my grandma had with a fish as the spout.

Oh, that is so pretty! If you don't mind me asking, what glaze did you use to get the orange? I would assume low fire, but the other colours look cone 10.

It's not a glaze but acrylic.
I still prefer paint over glazes, more control over the results in decorative pieces
Look through my gallery and you can see it before I painted.

I wanted to give it a surreal feel.
You always see fish swimming through broken pottery so I put a different spin on it.

It was quite challenging, that seaweed loved to shrink and break off.
Originally it was supposed to have three strands, (I like odd numbers for art) but it was just too fragile. @___@
