No problem, I am so anxious to start learning how to due the fractal art, but it looks so complex an hard for me, it scares me.

Don't be scared! It's all a matter of play. The more you play with the program, the more comfortable you are with it. Ask questions on the mailing lists and forums. And start simple. I know UF in particular has hundreds and hundreds of formulas. Start with the basic formulas in the Standard folder and then try working with something fun and simple like Doodads in the ldm.ucl folder.

That is stunning. Well deserving of a favourite, and more besides. How on *earth* did you manage to get it looking so perfect? It really does look like an expensive gold floral brooch, the sort of jewelery a woman could wear on a jacket.

Oh, I know it's an Ultrafractal work - I use it myself. I was just wondering how on earth you managed to get it to do that - how many layers did it take? Are the layers all the same fractal?

I used about 2 layers of 1 ucl for the background. Two layers of another for the stem/centers, and about 6 layers of another ucl including masking layers to get the flowers. Also, 2 layers for the edging. So, it was about 12-14 layers all total.

Ah, tricky stuff. I'm mainly an Apophysis and Bryce person - I'm still just learning and getting to grips with what UF can do. Good to see the level of quality that's possible though
